Oasis (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
Voto:
@S4doll: well, let’s not exaggerate. DM and Oasis are comparable because they are both POP (or pop-rock if you prefer). I tried to respond only to Lux, who was basically asking me why I like DM and think Oasis are terrible, and I tried to explain it by using a few songs as examples. Beyond the singer's ability (to me, Gahan is to Gallagher what Baggio is to Morfeo, but maybe I'm offending Morfeo), the creativity displayed by DM in songs like "Everything Counts" (really original tempo changes and synth intertwining) is not found in the modest backing of Gallagher’s standard rock band. Some may find that Oasis can evoke more pathos than DM, but that's purely subjective; however, it's hard to deny that DM are more original than Oasis.

I would say that Oasis have nothing to do with DM in terms of sound, but both are melodic and both make songs, so they are comparable.

@Alex87: you shouldn't take it personally then, I mentioned "Stripped" and "Everything Counts" as examples of songs with a classic but successful structure. Read it again. I'm also convinced that they are worth more than any Oasis song, which I still find inferior even to the latest Depeche.
The Connells Ring

On a personal level, the 90s were a good time for me too, but certainly not thanks to the Connels... I’ve always found "'74-'75" downright cloying, to say the least.
Mohsen Makhmalbaf Viaggio a Kandahar (2001)

Beautiful, although as a film on the theme of Afghanistan, it impacted me more than "Osama." Rating 3.5.

@Lux: it seems we set an example! :-D
David Frankel Il Diavolo Veste Prada

A comedy with a good rhythm, light but not empty, above average for the genre in terms of direction and acting (with Streep shining above all). A happy ending is a must, but in over 100 minutes it does not get boring, which happens rarely when I watch a comedy.
Duran Duran Red Carpet Massacre

The cover vaguely reminds me of "Reproduction" by the Human League.

Yes, I had already heard good things about "Loveless," you gave me the motivation to overcome my laziness and get it. I haven't listened to the spiral yet, buying the CD doesn't even cross my mind, and I don't have flat internet subscriptions to download it over time. Anyway, its turn will come too, don’t worry! :-)

I haven't heard the album, but the single "Reformation" is great; it has a really catchy rhythm.
