Teenage Jesus and The Jerks Everything
Voto:
If we want to stick to gossip, dear Lydia also got involved with one of our own Confusional Quartet, probably not even of legal age at the time. In any case, Teenage Jesus was making great music: sick, sparse, violent & suffering, at least from what I heard in "No New York." I'm missing this compilation but I already have it on my list.

@Muitosaudosismo: the Hoahio are truly amazing, even though from the record I have ("OHAYO! HOAHIO!") they seem anything but post-punk and violent.

Never heard of it, but Tzadik is synonymous with quality.

Rather bland film, although I must say I am not familiar with the comics it was based on.

@Odradeck: did you really spend an evening with Fanny Tutti? And how did you pass the time? Did you play blind man's buff? Forgive my somewhat morbid curiosity, but I can't help it...

Never liked them. Terrible cover.
Peter Murphy Should the World Fail to Fall Apart

"The Light Pours Out Of Me" is a cover of the Magazine if I’m not mistaken. Of Murphy’s solo work, I’ve only listened to "Holy Smoke," which didn’t really excite me at all.

I've been stuck for years on "20 Jazz Funk Greats" and I still haven't decided which album to go on with.

"Disappointment and anger then, for a group that was comfortable in the dark and that in the blinding and direct light of the sun showed all its limits."
This sentence surprises me. It surprises me that a (former) fan of the Cure can still be surprised that in 2008 the Cure released a pop single and stopped making the music of the dark trilogy. But excuse me, how did you feel when "The Lovecats" came out in 1983? And the year after with "The Caterpillar"? And the year after that with "Close To Me"? And in '87 with "Why Can't I Be You?"? Practically for a quarter of a century have you been disappointed all the time? I wouldn’t wait 26 years to leave a band if I didn’t like them anymore. There are plenty of dark little groups out there cloning the trilogy Cure if you want; take refuge in those because I think the real Cure can only continue to disappoint you.

You are completely right, Adieu11; the musical-ideological oppositions are now old and outdated, at least for those who don’t have their ears plugged. Of course, it’s also a matter of personal taste, which can vary more or less.
