Italian yet simultaneously international, retro but modern at the same time, I have nothing from them, but from this album at least "Souvenir" and "Ti Sento" rightfully enter the history of the best Italic pop.

Hoffmann is truly great; unfortunately, I read his works over a dozen years ago, so I don't have very clear memories, but he is a must in both the gothic and the comic-fairy tale realms.

The Cure 4:13 Dream

"4:13 Dream" is enjoyable for those who, like me, don't dismiss pop out of hand. Nothing that screams masterpiece, but this album sounds like a delightful mix of what The Cure were from 1983 to 1996. There's not much to discard; maybe "The Real Snow White" and "The Perfect Boy" are pretty bad, and "It's Over" is a bit messy, but the rest is a pleasure to listen to. Standout tracks: "The Reasons Why," "Underneath The Stars," "The Scream," "Sleep When I'm Dead." Probably giving it a 4 is too much, but it's been a while since I've had so much fun listening to an album (even if some lyrics are far from fun).
