@Muffin: it's true that I've never seen this work in person, but I wrote that the piece, from what I can see, holds up aesthetically even without knowing the nature of the liquid (which maybe isn't even piss, and so Serrano has tricked us twice).

The work is definitely not trivial, even if it leaves me feeling somewhat indifferent, perhaps because I'm not very familiar with techno and classical music.

Never paid much attention, but I second those who remembered the beauty of the show "Chill Out" (so many nights) and the charm of the couple Silvestrin-Coppola in "Coktail D'Amore".

Well, this is a classic. It's truly astounding how a few brush strokes can make one feel so uneasy.

Aesthetically almost negligible, yet it does provoke thought and has a lot of humor, which is no small feat.

Well, I don't find it so useless. From what I've seen and from what I've read in the review, aesthetically it’s a work that stands on its own even without a title. Then there's the title put there on purpose to provoke a reaction from the viewer, but in my opinion, it's an intelligent thing meant to mock some mental schemas, not just religious ones, like "it would be nice, but I found out it's made of piss, so I hate it."

"New Wave" in 2009? You’ve already smashed the balls.

Phenomenal comment; can you believe they’re still even making Jazz records in 2009?

I find it to be a good album; the songwriting is solid and the sound is as polished as usual. "Wrong" is the powerful, anthemic single that grabs you on the first listen, but there are also other very valid tracks like "Fragile Tension," for example, and there are no bad songs. A solid album overall; I attribute the negative opinions of many to hasty judgments (unfortunately, Scaruffi has managed to make the world believe that an album can be judged from a "one-shot" listen) when in fact, it's a CD that grows with repeated listens.

The review doesn't tell me much, a series of enthusiastic adjectives that don't explain much, and I don't even understand the reference to Kubrick. In any case, I share the judgment.

Undisputed masterpiece of animation, along with "Mars Attack!" my favorite Burton film. All this despite Renato Zero. If you like stop-motion technique, you can't miss the films of the Czech master Jan Svankmajer; his films are much less Hollywood-like than this one but no less enjoyable for that. Highly recommended are the dark tales of "Alice" and "Little Otik," while "Faust" and "Conspirators Of Pleasures" are more for adults.
