(pseudo)transgression of the third hand. Ugly and useless record, Olympus of trash.

An album I only know through the singles that were heavily rotated on MTV back in the day. To me, they were pure fluff, but as someone once said, de gustibus.

Yes, thank you Adil, insults aimed at a work (be it a review or an album) can be tolerated, but personal insults cannot. In other words, it’s fine for someone to say “Mike76, you wrote a shitty review,” but not “Mike76, you’re an idiot and you don’t understand a thing,” but unfortunately, this is also part of De-baser.
As for the term “crossover,” it doesn’t always seem suitable to most, but I think it fits. If Rage Against The Machine does metal+rap and is labeled a crossover band, why can't NIN, who do metal+electronics, be defined as such? No critic ever dared to label “Walk This Way” by Aerosmith with Run D.M.C. as crossover, even though it is. By crossover, I meant the union of recognizable elements that can be traced back to a well-defined genre; Reznor sings normally as if he were part of a metal or grunge band (without the filters and tricks used by Ministry in the '80s) over industrial-electronic beats borrowed from Foetus, so for me, the term “crossover” works just fine, which is still not an offense. In the comments of my detractors, I saw “The Fragile” labeled an AMBIENT album, and frankly, that seems a more out-of-place term than mine.

Nice but inconsistent album; if I’m going to listen to an Italian new wave record, then for me it's much better to go for "Desaparecido," or even better "Siberia" by Diaframma, or even better "Sick Soundtrack" by Gaznevada.

Dearest Dodo7, out of pure Samaritan spirit, I don't intend to pile on further by participating in the bloodbath (but I must say you really brought it on yourself) of your review/punching bag. I just wanted to point out that of course "pieces like Another Girl Another Planet make you wonder if this is the punk of the guys back then," because "Another Girl Another Planet" is a cover by a vanished rock-wave band called The Only Ones (year 1978). And of course, I add, the Blink seem to have improved the lyrics in these episodes.

And then another thing: I doubt that good Masami was the first to do certain things; have you ever heard of Throbbing Gristle?
