Wow, how poorly I used to write...

Simple but effective review, I like it. For me too, "Wish" was the first album by the Cure and I have a special attachment to it, but objectively it doesn't deserve more than a 3 or a 3.5.

Good review, too bad about the second to last sentence.

Great victory for the national team, great defeat for music.
Bluvertigo Pop Tools
Voto:
I liked Bluvertigo back then, but the enthusiasm was perhaps more due to the fact that they were Italian than to their actual value. When there’s an Italian band that plays decently, people always shout masterpiece, a bit like when someone with a disability manages to do something that normal people can do. In any case, they made a couple of passable albums, not genius but cleverly referential, and at least for me, they were better than a lot of other Italian fluff like Subsonica and Afterhours.

Well, for me it’s just banal hard rock.

I don't have the album, but I think I would like it.
By now, Mementomori, your reviews are becoming a classic, really beautiful and well-crafted.
Dead Can Dance Toward the Within

Yeah yeah, it’s all nice but I prefer the earlier DCD, the more wave ones. I like this but it doesn't manage to "open me up", and then there are those two or three bits sung by Perry where I feel like I'm hearing Bruce Springsteen (and that's not a compliment).
I Gatti di Vicolo Miracoli Capito?!/Verona Beat
Voto:
I was just a baby, but "Capito?" I remember it perfectly, also because I still have a copy of the 78 rpm somewhere, with its cover all patched up. The problem is that my MP3 player can’t read it... I don't really remember "Verona Beat" at all. Musically, they aren't evaluateable, but I’ll give it a 5 anyway for the nostalgia effect and for the charm.
At this point, I'm waiting for the review of "Gomma Gomma" by Luca and Manuela, or "Carletto" by Corrado, or something from Pippo Franco or Heather Parisi...
You've already earned that 5 by pointing out the beauty of Verona and Vicenza (and the bleakness of Padova).
