You'll recognize that what has gone down in history about Alice comes from Battiato's pen?...at least I hope so...

Iside, if you hadn't expressed your low opinion of Battiato, I would have replied to you as well...

The affinity with Battiato is Alice's main strength, but also her greatest limitation. The voice is exceptional, the style impeccable. It's a pity she has managed to express so little of herself.

It's true, in fact the statement itself isn't a big bullshit, because for some artists it may always hold. It's bullshit, however, to pass it off as an absolute truth, a dogma, if you will.

Every now and then, there’s a phrase that strikes me, and then I return to write on this site... so La Sposa Occidentale (a masterpiece by Battisti) is from 1990 (after 23 years of career), The Dark Side of The Moon is the seventh or eighth album by Pink Floyd, La Voce Del Padrone is the 11th album by Battiato, Innuendo is practically the last album by Queen, Crueza De'Ma by De Andre? ... well, I don't remember but I think he made several before that, and then, and then... dozens come to mind... but why do you have to spout such nonsense, Punisher? Can you explain it to me? Mozart... deathbed, masterpiece, requiem mass...

I thought it would be worse, of course the album can't be a masterpiece by definition, because a mediocre artist like Ligabue (he says it himself) can't produce a masterpiece. However, it was an important album for Italian rock and also nice, like the review; after all, surely better than the previous efforts.
Sergio Cammariere Dalla Pace Del Mare Lontano

Yes, my sense of irony may have diminished a bit... coming back to Cammariere, I can't help but notice that the criticisms directed at him are more rooted in personal biases than in sensible considerations of his musical depth. I don't believe in pure and naked jazz. In fact, I don't believe in any contemporary artist who identifies with a single musical genre for which they wave the flag. Instead, I believe in contamination, in wanting to make music that reflects your spirit a bit. Cammariere makes light music with jazz undertones... and in this, he is among the best in Italy...

a good way to turn the tables... but if you've become so entrenched in the overseas mindset that you say the album title could never be part of it, then I truly believe I'm not mistaken about the foreign-centric alienation that infects the new generations, of which fortunately, I am starting to no longer be a part

Zarathustra, listen to me, if the album had been called "from the peace of the sea far away," and good Sergio came from New Orleans, the aforementioned subjects would be singing the praises of the review and the album.

this review fills my heart... thankfully, amidst the overwhelming foreign admiration that permeates this site, there is someone who still has the courage to speak about an Italian talent, who has no equal in the world: a sublime voice that we will never forget.
