Elton John The One
Voto:
Yes, Savickas, by "fallen" I primarily mean artists who have been snubbed by the public and critics, then obviously also a bit artists who can no longer hold up against the past...

I admit I didn't listen to the latest.

To ValerioRivoli, I remember that Barrett gave up the star life due to mental health issues, not out of a coherent choice.

Here we go again, the usual Barrett fans, claiming that the Pink Floyd have been nothing since him, that the albums were bad and blah blah blah blah... frankly, we are fed up with it... no one can belittle Barrett and his flash of genius from 1967, but we are facing a flash of genius that lasted a year, with ups and downs, just like the subsequent career, which lasted 15 years, at least with Waters, where the masterpieces were more than one. Therefore, no comparisons are possible. It’s like putting Protti's year of glory in Serie A on the same level as Maradona's six years. Barrett was a meteor, important, brilliant, innovative, everything you want. But to flush down the toilet 15 years of great music from Pink Floyd for Barrett is really for the dense-minded.
Enrico Ruggeri Gli occhi del musicista
Voto:
djmushroom, there is a limit to criticism, especially if it's not well-argumented. What does 'nosioso' mean? ...maybe that Beethoven's Romance in F is ugly because it's a bit boring? ...of course not. The two songs you mention are two beautiful songs; you can't just make such superficial comments. In general, if you have objections to things that are almost universally considered beautiful, you must use much stronger arguments.

3 to the review, which is the average between the form (5) and some content (1)... I won’t go too far, but I believe you are seriously off track when you attach the adjective boring or the synonym tedious to what are two gems of Italian pop music from the '80s. In your epithets, I sense a barely concealed musical snobbery. Ruggeri, by the way, was a good singer-songwriter, but the top tier in Italy is made up of others.
Franco Battiato Ferro Battuto
Voto:
It's an album that I can't fully appreciate, as the title says, Battiato has shaped some uninspired pieces, giving them a nice form, wrought iron in short... the reviewer is just starting out and is trying too hard for a catchy phrase, but he can improve...
Adriano Pappalardo Non mi lasciare mai
Voto:
Well, I too have had the audacity in the past to write a review of a Pappalardo album... which fortunately didn't end in a brawl like this one... I just want to emphasize that beneath the appearance and the crude demeanor, Pappalardo conceals, or at least concealed, an undeniable talent. For those who truly have the guts, I recommend purchasing (even though it's hard to find them now) the last two albums written with Battisti and Panella. You won't regret it.
Antonello Venditti Dalla Pelle Al Cuore
Voto:
I don't have the album, but "Dalla Pelle al Cuore" is the best piece of Italian pop music I've listened to this year. Therefore, the rating pertains solely to the song.
