Ah, another name that made me laugh was Alonzo Mourning.

Yes, you brought to mind the Panini album with cards that cost an arm and a leg... Dikembe Mutombo, that name used to crack me up. I still have a few tiny jerseys (now extra-small) of Jordan himself, of O'Neal, of Reggie Miller. Great page.

Yes, I hang out a bit on Last.Fm (very little, to be honest), the comment was mine :)

I was there too! But I arrived late, also because they started very early (while I was calmly eating, the Transitional were playing, from what I gathered). The Dalek were interesting, but I only saw the last 2 songs; I probably wouldn't have made it through the whole performance. The Isis were amazing, despite the venue's acoustics (not too bad in my opinion, and anyone who saw the Tool at Palaghiaccio knows what I mean). I couldn't resist buying the Wavering Radiant LP. Sorry, but wasn't Aaron Turner a little guy??
Linkin Park Minutes to Midnight

Usually, I don't like to throw gasoline on a fire that's already blazing, but the phrase "After 10 years, you can't wait for work like this anymore" is also an interpretative challenge. In reviews, you should put less "style" and more meaning (style should be applied to a meaning). The end of Linkin Park is the answer to the question: "What happens to a mediocre band when it decides to become a famous piece of shit band (U2)?"

I'm hearing it now. It sounds nice, but the snare has an awful sound!

I was also struck by the review, so when a few weeks ago I saw it for 3 euros among the stalls of porn DVDs in front of Termini, I snatched it up (the Termini stalls are hilarious, the signs among the merchandise read "particular DVDs"). What can I say, I didn't think it was possible to condense such a plot into so few pages—one that any rambling novelist would stretch, twist, and fluff to the point of absurdity. A mystery where halfway through you discover the culprit and you really feel like crap, and this feeling chronically repeats itself until the very end. I have to thank Caz for the inspiration :)

What an album Australasia was. So beautiful that I waited a long time before listening to the next one. "The fire in our throats..." wasn't bad, but it had lost much of that sludgy sound that defined them; it felt like they had shifted quite a bit towards Isis. I haven't listened to the last two, maybe one day I will.

I also heard a part of a single on television; it seemed to me like the usual electronic piece in the style of Battiato from recent years, a bit monotonous to be honest.

More blows from Pike, huh? Sounds enticing...
