Right, donzaucher (man, I was sorry I didn’t have a de-baser t-shirt, maybe we would have bumped into each other!). I found a great spot just a few meters from the stage, right in the middle of the open grass area for the public, so I didn’t notice these problems... What I did notice, though, was the outrageous beer prices: 4 euros. What the hell!

Dwarves either need a vacation or have just returned from one: blunders escape them like laughter. Thank you for the reports, Hal, keep it up.

I reread the previous message and, from the awkwardness of the syntax, I realized I am very tired: I'm going to sleep.

A great album, the only one - besides New York by Lou Reed - for which, despite owning the original vinyl, I felt it was necessary to buy the CD version as well. I think I've listened to it (the original recorded on cassette - as was the fashion back then) a million times, even to the point of exhaustion: I still know all the lyrics by heart today. For Cleo: I liked Outside, even though maybe Bowie didn't like it that much either, since it seemed like it was supposed to have a follow-up, and instead - at least as of today - nothing more is known. Nevertheless, it contains some truly exceptional tracks, perhaps among Bowie’s best of all time.

Since some time ago I commented on this review (not about Bon Jovi, of whom I really couldn’t care less), I keep receiving notifications of new comments on it, and they are always about Bon Jovi nonsense. So I thought I’d share my opinion. Not about Bon Jovi, as I repeat, I don’t care at all, but about this group of fans who are wounded in their pride and continue to write bullshit. Let’s set one thing straight: here, NOBODY questions your right to listen to whatever the hell you want. Do you like Bon Jovi? Good for you. But why, given that you claim that here (on de-baser) no one knows anything about music, don’t you take the trouble to read some of the other reviews and - maybe - listen to some of the records reviewed? You might discover new horizons, and you’d avoid wasting your time insulting the dozens of PEOPLE who have created and continue to run this site every day. Or, maybe, send in reviews of your favorite records; we publish everything. But be prepared for criticism: anyone who submits a review on de-baser should expect a ton of it, but that’s the beauty of this site: it doesn’t happen in magazines or fanzines, here every "reviewer" exposes themselves to audience feedback. STOP.

Wow! I bought the CD exactly a year ago, in Poggibonsi (I was on vacation in Chianti), and I must have listened to it, absentmindedly, once. Then I forgot about it. Now that I'm giving it another listen, thanks to the review: it wasn’t bad, no, really not bad at all...

No, the one from Dogma95 was some other reviewer (I can't remember who now). I'm even snobbier – just to say one thing, I endured ALL of Greenaway’s works (in some cases, it took a lot of willpower, I admit). Anyway, I'm interested in the Dogmians, even if sometimes I don't find the resort to (pseudo)realistic techniques they claim to pursue justified – and Festen is a prime example: the film wasn’t bad, but the adherence to the Dogma95 rules seemed entirely useless to me. And if you want to know how snobbish I am, know that I watched Festen in Danish with Swedish subtitles in a Norwegian theater. Hey guys, I'm leaving for Sardinia in a few hours!!!!

Dolls is beautiful - even though it's very different from the rest of "Beat" Takeshi's work. I can be a bit (very) snobbish when it comes to movies: cinema + original language seem to me like two indispensable requirements. However, I settle (and I would even like to see!) and often rely on DVDs. Nevertheless, Dolls should definitely be seen in theaters; the cinematography is simply fantastic, and at times it reminds me of Kurosawa's "Dreams."

Sakamoto also acted in "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" (in Italy, with a bit of imagination, they called it "Furyo") alongside David Bowie: the film is sort of so-so, also due to the poor performances of the two (Bowie is worse than Sakamoto, I must say, and he's even the protagonist! Sakamoto later also did The Last Emperor). But there's Takeshi Kitano, the legend, the greatest, the absolute genius, playing the Japanese sergeant... and of course, the music by Ryuichi.

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.
