From the gathering at Cuin's house, it turned out that no one likes Marlene Kuntz (I just wanted to remind you).

"All the culture and history of that great people have been buried by rampant globalization." But damn, what do you think of the Norwegians? Yes, they're great (and I know it well, trust me), but they haven't exactly been fundamental to the history of humanity, oh, no more than the Finns, for instance. And what the hell does "rampant globalization" have to do with it, my God? If you're worried about the Vikings, I doubt their disappearance has anything to do with globalization (they "disappeared" a bit before our time). The recent history of Norway is one of domination (even cultural: modern Norwegian is practically Danish) by the other two Scandinavian countries, independence from Sweden in 1905, and the oil boom in the seventies that turned them into the rich people they have become. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it's not exactly a past to be idolized, I mean.

And speaking of Norwegians: have you ever noticed any major traumas in them for "the forced loss of their ancient spiritual ties"? What would those be anyway? Odin and Thor? Freia? So what should the Greeks say? Come on, let's objectify ourselves a bit (then explain to me what "there are many things that objectify" means?).

Well, the Norwegians have always claimed that the Vikings discovered America.

Ah, here they are, I remember them too. The guy with the short blonde hair, the macho-gay leather outfits, the Harleys... Idols of my classmates in Colorado... I think I even have an original cassette somewhere in the basement. Never cared, though, what nostalgia...

If G and I had instead of wandering around the Ferrara area (the wonders of G's tomtomnavigator) that evening driven up to Urbino, the average age would have significantly increased. Well, in return, the next day we gave it our all, managing to lose practically everything except for Sophia and Echo & The Bunnymen.

Everything you write about Cage is true: here he still manages to save himself (even if he’s already far from the glory of "Raising Arizona"), but who knows what the hell happened to him (even though in "Leaving Las Vegas" it seemed like he had bounced back a bit).

What the hell, now you decide what rock is? Come on. Rock for me means sweat, three-hour concerts, songs that tell stories, maybe even trivial ones but still stories, energy, sex, drugs, life on the road, and so on, all that stuff. Springsteen embodies all of this, and so he is rock, and enough with the bullshit. When this album came out I was living in the States (there they called the radio "The Boss of Rock'n'Roll), so it’s tied for me to adolescent moments that I remember fondly.
I also preferred the earlier albums (except for Tom Joad which came later), but anyway, I’ve always thought he was a genuine performer, a "real" one, for sure, unlike Britney Spears, please.
As for the E-Street Band: once by chance I got to see a concert of Little Steven and I can guarantee you that I’ve rarely seen such a concentration of pure energy on a stage.

No you see morgue, you don't understand. When Berlusconi says he has respected his fucking "pact with the Italians," he is expressing an opinion, but it's wrong. In my paradise, everyone would know that it’s wrong because they would be aware of the facts, and so Berlusca would keep his fucking opinion to himself. You got it?
