@Il_Paolo: there have been several "variations of plans" and even completely new plans since then, of course. However, that doesn’t make Bolzano’s Industrial Zone a "German city." Even Bolzano (yes, it’s my city) is not a German city: the historical center is "Austrian," if we must put it that way, but the rest of the city has a decidedly "Italian" layout.

The venue is a very recently constructed warehouse where steel products are manufactured ("Stahlbau" means this), so it’s not about industrial archaeology as you seem to imply, but rather real industry, where today, after the concert, people are working. Furthermore, calling the industrial area of Bolzano built by Mussolini a "German city" is quite a reckless statement and shows several levels of ignorance about the facts. Finally, I find your insistence on the age of the musicians and the audience unnecessary: once established, even if it needs to be, that Sonic Youth are old and that the audience was not (thankfully) made up of 13-year-olds, why make idiotic allusions about the sex life of Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore? Don’t you have anything else to write about? How boring.
