Exodus, what torments my heart in these steps is not the undeniable creative ability of Radiohead, I assure you. I've learned that there are beautiful things that I don't like and ugly things that I do, and I don't dispute this any more than I dispute that the Rh are among the most important bands of this moment. The true and vexing obsession that haunts me is that every day new minds emerge who, unfazed by the fact that a topic has been deeply explored over and over again, present the same descriptions, the same emotions, the same questions as if the music had crystallized in Radiohead. Now, it's certainly worth reading two reviews of the same album. It's certainly worth reading multiple reviews of the complete works of the same group. But I don't find it appropriate to be literally overwhelmed by "Copy Carbon" reviews that always and only glorify a band that (although important) I don't consider essential. All of this makes me feel partially responsible for two reasons: 1. I've always advocated the importance of reviewing albums from the past (Turkish placet) 2. I glorified Ok Computer, at the end of a very civil and interesting dispute with Rivo, concluding that it is one of the 100 most important albums in the history of Rock. But I am truly tired of the obtuseness that Radiohead fans openly declare to me every day.
