Dream Theater Score - 20th Anniversary World Tour

Some past live performances, like Budokan, were too heavy to digest, with endless solos that eventually tire even the devoted fan. In this album, however, it will be the presence of the orchestra, but they are of a unique essentiality. Always within their personal concept of essentiality, of course.
Iron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death

Really great album. While not reaching the heights of the past, Maiden still maintain a good level. It's true, the album has songs that are too long, but they are still varied and not tiring. Better than Dance of Death, I agree.

The version of The spirit carries on reminds me of the beginning of Purple rain by Prince...

Believe me, Matt, when I heard the overture performed by the orchestra, I was moved. But the orchestra plays throughout the suite, and Vacant as an orchestral piece with La Brie's voice is breathtaking! An incredible orchestral metropolis! A masterpiece, a live masterpiece, without those solos that often weighed down previous records.

I met the guitarist a while ago, the one with the mohawk. Nice and quirky girl.

Well, it's a matter of taste, but I don't share all this enthusiasm for Amberdawn. It certainly deserved to be mentioned, but it doesn't grab me; I don't know why. The Overture isn't better, but there's this really nice educational video that probably piques interest in the track as you watch it. The impression remains that some songs seem to have come from the recording sessions of the previous album; perhaps it's Vescera's vocal style, who knows. Even though originality isn't Malmsteen's strong suit, he always managed to find elements of diversification between his various albums, whether through the sounds or the production, which, in this album, in my opinion, is lacking.

Thank you all. I went a lot into memories, but at the time, Amberdawn didn't surprise me too much. I might have Cantabile in a B-sides collection downloaded from the internet. I believe that if they had taken the best pieces from Fire & Ice, The Seventh Sig, and Magnum Opus, it would have resulted in the absolute masterpiece of the Swede. Instead, there are too many fillers and dead moments.
Liquid Tension Experiment Liquid Tension Experiment

Yes, but I don't buy the story that they created everything in five days. Surely Petrucci had already studied the main lines. Portnoy does his usual job, which is what you would expect. Levin plays what he's told to play, except in a couple of instances where his touch becomes unmistakable. The real surprise is Rudess, who, after this experience, will probably already be, at least ideologically, the new keyboardist of the Theater. In short, they are good at what they do, but improvisation in the purest sense of the term, I don't think is their daily bread.

Good and thank you. So read my review on Ligabue that those little editors didn't feature on the homepage...
