Already in Testament, it was evident that the taste and attitude were not those of the classic metalhead, so I would say that fusion has always been in their soul.

Yes, go for a preliminary listening but I would invite you to buy the original Di Meola records. On Amazon UK, used in excellent condition, they are inexpensive...

For Di Meola, it's a must: from electric fusion, to the trio with McLaughlin and De Lucia, to these projects around the world, excellence is always guaranteed. I recommend, if you can find it of course, "The Rite of Strings" with Stanley Clarke and Jean-Luc Ponty...

But in the end, one makes the mistake of separating that "jazz" and that "metal" as if expecting who knows what. In the end, it is and remains solely metal; of course, no one would compare them to Blind Guardian, but surely the jazz listener would flee in horror at such a proposal.

There are three albums in the "World Symphony" series: the eponymous one, this one reviewed, and The Grande Passion, all easily available.

But with all due respect, you can't review Nickelback and consider Evanescence as pioneers of the new AOR and then exclude Harem Scarem because they're dedicated to a crossover that’s not very AOR-like... The first two Harem Scarem albums are classics, end of story. Then they faltered a bit, although Weight of the World fits right under the two mentioned above.

And I would add the aversion to Harem Scarem, alas for both sites...
By the way, hardnheavy also has an interesting article on pirate bootlegs...

Not much good is said about Terry Brook, though... :-)

And anyway, Kosmogabri misses the point that Zappa had a big dick...
Van Canto A Storm to Come

Well, from the video it didn't seem that great to me, passable but nothing special, the photo is definitely photoshopped...
