Well, Insomnia is too tied to the Dark Tower saga; taken as a standalone book, it has a somewhat twisted plot, but when placed within the saga, it makes sense.

As verbose as it may be, everything about King is encapsulated in this novel.

I have "Aurum nostrum" and the devotion for Anglagard is strong. The folk parts are beautiful and moving, perhaps a bit tiring due to the long runtime. The masters seem to have had an extra gear.

I would say that Duma Key for a good 600 pages brings us back to the glorious King we all know, but the last 100 pages seem to be written by someone else.

Received as a Christmas gift and devoured in 4 days. I would tone down the enthusiastic remarks a bit; certainly, the 4 stories are enjoyable even in Wu Ming 1's straightforward translation, but it's not all gold.
1922 is good, a rural drama; if you focus, you can even smell the cow dung and see the endless fields of wheat in Nebraska.
Maxicamionista is the one that could be turned into a film, and I can already see Jodie Foster as the lead; it’s very linear but doesn’t take off even at the end with the cinematic twist.
La giusta estensione is a filler; you can tell, it's likable but still filler.
Un bel matrimonio could be ideal as the last episode of the TV show Dexter. This is the best of the four; we’re indeed at dizzying heights where, despite the ups and downs, King is still capable of striking a chord.
