At Rimini, they played well, 1 hour and 10 minutes of concert: the old songs are sharper than the new ones, particularly The Noose. Even though it’s one of my favorite tracks from 13th Step, it didn't excite me much, while Weak & Powerless was done decently (I had heard a bootleg where they completely messed it up). Maynard has a great voice (I had seen him already with Tool, so it's not new for me) and Josh is impressive. Anyway, they still have to work a bit to be perfect. Mundane notes: Maynard had a problem with his eyes, so no flashes were allowed, and smoking was prohibited (at the band's request); how nice, they're quitting smoking! But I didn't, so I smoked quietly and they, the APC, didn't notice, although some more diligent folks were sneaking to the back of the venue. Speaking of the venue, the Velvet leans heavily towards alternative and has good acoustics, but it’s a maze with how it’s designed: stairs, ramps, ups and downs, steps, poles, beams, storage rooms, shacks, trees. After the concert, I managed to get the setlist, but they gave me the one from Rome the day before; at first glance, they seemed identical. Outside the Velvet, I wanted to snag the Mogwai poster as a souvenir, but just as I approached, a guy with the same idea showed up... damn it.

Well, for me 1 hour and 10 is enough, 2 albums: not too long with few songs over 5 minutes.

I'm not telling you this because some women who have listened to it said: "Wow, what an awful song"....and it's true, it really is bad...come on, admit it....

There will never be a better time I don't like it, I don't like it, I don't like it and I don't like it. They should have done well to not include it and Pj can do much better.
