The Clash Cut the Crap
Voto:
Every now and then, I find myself needing to say a few words about albums that aren’t strictly necessary in the discography of every tireless rocker. With CTC, The Clash reach the end of their pioneering journey in a way that is certainly less than honorable, but there’s not a single album by Joe Strummer & Co that doesn’t contain at least a few (pseudo) gems that deserve at least a couple of listens. While I respect everyone’s opinion, I strongly recommend reading the thorough analysis of the album in question by a flawless critic named Federico Guglielmi. Enjoy your reading and see you soon.

An album that will certainly not disappoint fans of the genre (personally, "Wake," "Sterile Prophet," and "King Domain" above all), but the levels of "Pure" are here touched upon with emphasis. Always (more than) enjoyable reading ;-).

I had the chance to appreciate this album a few years after its release, along with HERE COMES THE MIRACLES, which I personally find more engaging. Always a smooth and enjoyable read, dear L.

Never been crazy about tributes, but you write about them so well that one can't help but be intrigued.

Even though I have followed the band (almost) from the beginning, I certainly wasn’t impressed by this album, which, in my opinion, is listenable but will certainly not become a MUST for the former Fab5. Nice review, worthy of someone who, while loving a group, appropriately assesses even the less successful records. Well done.

I express my full appreciation for those Debaserians who on this page (but also many privately) have distanced themselves from the offensive statements that this time, as usual, have been "playfully" crafted by what I like to call the usual (un)knowns, who freely (and who can stop them) intervene most of the time - there is an evident example of this on this page - WITHOUT ever justifying (other than well-reasoned criticisms, which to make one would have to remember that syntactic rules, which are noticeably absent above, are obviously unknown to me as well; -)) the expression of a vote on my modest writings (and indeed I do not expect anyone to call them reviews…) that I have been posting on Debaser for years, while they do not refrain from dispensing OFFENSES and INSULTS (as happens when scrolling the mouse upwards) which have NOTHING to do with music, which should be the topic that here should UNITE and NOT divide.
What is most SURPRISING is learning (we're at the unbelievable here!) that someone encourages NOT to read what I write, when among their primary tasks (to good listeners…) there “should” be the encouragement of everyone’s free choice to follow what they most enjoy and perhaps form their OWN opinion about it. So let’s allow the music to speak and even if we criticize something we don't like, let’s do it in full RESPECT of others, without taking advantage of someone else's availability.
Still staying on topic, to those with DOUBLE, TRIPLE identities (my writings include several of them; -)) - used to ask questions, answer themselves, or create picturesque yet ridiculous little scenes - I would advise to exercise a bit more caution, perhaps DIVERSIFYING the way of writing when changing accounts, ah, ah..ah.
I take a “mea culpa” for being too wordy in this message, taking characters away from the main topic (I’m referring to music of course) of this beautiful and in many respects unique platform that has allowed me, over more than ten years, to meet and know users with whom to share common aspects of music. So, cheers to music (and I don’t think there’s anything wrong in discussing records that have already received attention; in the numerous reviews of the same record I have always found something interesting) and see you soon to those few who appreciate me and to those who criticize me (from whom I have NEVER received apologies for the offenses received, not even when I INFORMED the “editors” about a blasphemy present on a “my” page) always in full respect of the person; -)… but.
Good afternoon and maybe, some reflection as well, why not.

I see that for the past month you've been focusing primarily on the 5 stars. You're doing great at it, even though from Fugazi's STEADY DIET OF NOTHING, the (almost) title track is "Polish," but your take convinced me to also catch up on the missed listening of REPEATER. Nice one, L.

A great lover of the musicians involved in the Damn Yankees project, I must say it didn't make me shout for joy, but the reading encourages listening and is truly enjoyable.
