He's not my idol, but he's still good.
Blackmore's Night Winter Carols

Thank you for those comments related to music, a bit less for those that have nothing to do with it. Learning that the city depicted in Winter Carols is Rothenbourg was definitely a pleasant discovery that I will take into account. Undoubtedly, Christmas albums are not always high-class products, but for people like Blackmore’s Night, Presley, and the Beatles (of course with the necessary differences…), it’s an opportunity to showcase another side of the same artist. I emphasize the idea that this CD is not merely a Christmas product, especially since the genre played by Blackmore’s Night fits well with the end-of-year festivities, and if any of you were to decide to listen to it "out of season," it certainly wouldn't be an inappropriate choice. Best wishes to all.

Thank you Jim, finally an intelligent intervention, after so many wasted words spoken by anonymous and useless characters.

A great band to rediscover that can be considered a true pioneer of the best Italian hard rock. Beautiful lyrics, beautiful music; unfortunately, many speak without having directly experienced the dawn of the 80s and emit only nonsense based on vague knowledge... enjoy listening, everyone.

Finally, a nice review for an album worthy of attention... at least today, since when it was released, there were many "incapable of understanding and wanting" who deemed it musically weak... So Fast So Numb above all... without taking anything away from the nighttime magic of "E-Bow The Letter."
Mark Knopfler And Emmylou Harris All The Roadrunning

I wanted to say one thing before anything else... Honestly, I would have given a rating of 3.5, which I rounded up to 4 since, considering the artist I was commenting on, it didn't seem fair to judge him too harshly. Rather, I would invite my dear friend-managers of “debaser” to introduce the “half point,” as such a rigid scale unfortunately punishes too much, in my opinion.
I think the album is pleasant in itself, and it doesn’t seem fair to compare this work to his solo albums, let alone those created with Dire Straits. That wouldn’t be right.
Perhaps most of the visitors to this page would always want to hear everything from “Down To The Waterline” to “How Long,” but just as many things have changed in our lives over the last 30 years, it would be unthinkable for the artistic journey of someone like Mark Knopfler to remain unchanged. ... ”It ain’t what they call rock’n roll” (to put it like Dire Straits) ... but I like it (to quote The Rolling Stones). See you soon, and thanks to everyone for the positive comments... finally.

...a detailed review with every reason for your deductions in its place, but perhaps the desire to be the first to publish the "comment" on the site prevailed over giving the album a chance to be appreciated (or not) in due time....
