THE DEVIL I actually agree with you on your idea of a more indie production; even more homemade would have been just what we needed. I had forgotten to write that.

EL DIABLO agrees with me on the production; I found an accomplice even though he argues that producers of this caliber have been disturbed and have not managed to save the production boat. I don’t think so. Other producers—I don’t want to name names today—would have done better. I'M SORRY BUT CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH ALBUM FROM A SONIC POINT OF VIEW HAS LILLYWHITE DONE IN THESE LAST FEW YEARS? I think none. Times change, and even in a hurry, U2 have always been ahead of the times, but now the opposite is happening.

The review written impeccably by our now veteran Grant is really beautiful; I respect his point of view, but I am instead thrown off and filled with doubts that are now irreconcilable for an album that I’m not completely convinced about, starting with the production that, in my opinion, is not up to par (with all due respect). Maybe I don’t like the direction the band has taken. However, it must be said that "Magnificient" is truly one of the most beautiful pieces of their career. What a shame.

Really original review, well done. I have some doubts about the impeccable production (or at least I believe that's what you wrote). In my opinion, U2 should have changed producers, alas I scare just saying it given Mr. Eno and company. The problem, in quotes, is perhaps the production itself, and the sound of the drums and percussion is clear evidence of that. This is just my opinion, of course. I won't rate the album because I don't feel comfortable; I still have too many doubts and uncertainties, or I can't admit that I don't like the path they've taken during this period.

Bravo, praise to Brett, he needs guys like you since he has sometimes been overlooked by the media, or rather eclipsed by the new English bands, a bit like the Supergrass' fate. Beautiful "Back to You". I don't have the CD yet, the previous one was really excellent. A note for Cesare, guys, how can you talk about Hendrix if you're talking about Butler? You're really ignorant.

I didn't listen to the album closely, but seeing "they take Brian Eno from Coldplay" leaves me shocked. You might not know that Brian Eno is the 5th member of U2 and that the guitar style of the Coldplay guitarist comes from The Edge's school. But all in all, it's a good reception in terms of content and never over the top. Bye.

I didn't listen to the album closely, but I distance myself from this reviewer who, I admit, writes well and talks about sounds, but then listened to the fake CD with which you can do everything except listen to the sound. Poor music of the digital age.
