Robert Plant Live @ Roma Rock Festival 20.07.07
Voto:
In my opinion, it's ridiculous to expect that at 60 years old, Plant can sing and perform on stage like he did 30 years ago... time passes and people change, and compared to Page, he has shown over the years that he can bring out interesting albums, he has managed to reinvent himself, he hasn't continued to live off the laurels of the past... like the Stones have been doing for years, who put on great concerts, but their latest albums leave much to be desired and then they charge you 100 euros to see them live! Respect for Plant!

Sorry, I don’t know why, but besides a spelling mistake (it says cocker but it was rocker), the layout has overlapped two sentences... this was the correct sequence:
"They present their tracks plus a couple of covers, with a surprise version of “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer that only keeps the dance rhythm of the drums and the catchy tune remade by the guitar, while everything else has a definitely more powerful impact. The audience has fun, applauding, some jump in front....")
To Duane: I don’t know who you are but I actually saw you trashing all the reviewers on Debaser, and if you aren't a fake, you’re not very objective. You give a 1 to the concert when you weren’t even there and judge a singer without having listened to her.
To Bisius: it’s true... the Asian girls were pretty hot! :D

"One of the best rock bands in the country... so we’re really in bad shape if the best is the union of blink 182 with the Finley! Bands like Afterhours, Marlene Kuntz, Marta sui tubi... I think they would eat them alive... not to mention the Litfiba of old, Karma, Movida, Csi... one of the best Italian bands... poor us..."
Porcupine Tree Fear Of A Blank Planet

Well... they seem regressive to me, too metal and too progressive to be Porcupine Tree... those who loved psychedelia and expansive atmospheres... and occasionally included a powerful and well-played piece. Now they seem like Dream Theater, with this eagerness to show that they can play and emphasize the more complex passages at the expense of the elegance they once had. The last noteworthy album is In Absentia.
Tempest Tempest / Living In Fear
Voto:
The first album, the self-titled Tempest, is superb!!! Paul Williams' voice is not true that it's lacking in emotion... for me, it drives me crazy because it gives a dark tone to the entire album... I like Living Fear less... without Holdsworth it's a different thing, and I should add that he also plays the violin!!

X Galakordi:
well, before judging I need to attend a live show, especially since it didn't cost me anything since it was free entry… I mainly listen to rock and metal, but I don't mind reggae and ska, it always depends on the bands, a bit like with all genres…

For Zero p:m: I apologize for giving you so little space, but in fact, you weren't introduced by anyone and your presence wasn't mentioned on the flyer. Moreover, I saw the last part of your performance... these things happen, and as a musician, I know well that often those in charge (in this case, the organizers) give very little space to those who deserve it... in any case, I’m glad it was a great experience for you. Best of luck!!!

X Calus: you are absolutely right about everything you've written, and it's the essence of my review. They were good but too academic; they didn't loosen up either with the timing or their behavior on stage, except for the bassist who engaged me the most because he moved around a lot and you could really see he was into it... Carey is a monster of perfection, but I was also left with a bitter feeling… like I need to go see them again soon to give them another chance… after all, we all ask for just a little more: A LONGER SETLIST AND MORE ENGAGEMENT!!!

Sorry... I wrote Mynar instead of Maynard... have mercy, I wrote the review at 3 AM right after coming back from the concert... in a semi-comatose state... regarding the announcement from the guy before the concert, it’s true that he said the four would get annoyed about the photos, but this suggested that something unpleasant could happen for the audience. I clearly remember a Guns 'n Roses concert where they left the stage for the same reason, causing an endless fight... you can expect anything from Maynard... for the final evaluation, I reviewed the concert as a whole, also considering the terrible acoustics; if it hadn't been for that, I would have given a few more points.

Well... I may have exaggerated by giving too much weight to Patton for the success of this record, but I am convinced that with someone else in his place, the result would have been very different, even though he didn't have a main role in the composition. The same goes for The Real Thing by FNM!!
