This CD is among the best by the Red Hot. Where else can you find songs like "Deep Kick" and "Transcending" on their other albums? Masterpieces that the RHCP have never made again.
The emotion in "Transcending" is expressed beautifully by the sad tones and the fiery finale. It’s the most beautiful song ever written by the band, especially considering what lies behind it… (the death of River Phoenix).
