As a kid, I didn’t mind it; it’s certainly not a flawless film, but when you’re under 10 years old, it definitely works. Sentimental rating.

I haven't gone there for a few years now, basically since they moved it from Imola (where it was, to be honest, awesome) to Venice, a place with terrible weather, and since the lineups have been so disappointing on average that I don't even feel like considering it.

"To keep a child in college, it takes at least 6000 dollars a year" 6000 just for tuition, plus all the expenses, is about half of what it costs to go to Bocconi in Milan. Still talking about good universities, because the top ones like Yale or Harvard cost around 50k-60k dollars in tuition.
Anyway, great movie.

I didn't expect many comments; for a title that was released 14 years ago, it's reasonable to think that if we are at least 25 years old today, there are few chances of knowing the product in question. For this reason, I'm trying to reconnect it to the famous relative Phantasmagoria, which has had decidedly better fortunes, being even distributed to this day through GOG. Acquiring Harvester today means paying big bucks on eBay, as it has never been re-released and the few copies out there are sold for a fortune. On the other hand, digital distribution is complicated by the fact that the developer, the American distributor, and the European distributor have not existed for over a decade. Searching for it in the "underground" is equally difficult (though not impossible), but the compatibility barrier is unforgiving, as it only runs on DOS, Win 3.1, and Win 95, and it is allergic to NT systems like Windows XP and later. DosBox helps, but when it comes to stability, we’re not there yet.

good but not great, not much to revisit as far as I'm concerned. Carlito's Way from a few years earlier is significantly better imo

"Smartphones & company are as nerdy as video games, but the latter connect much better to the original meaning of the term nerd, that is 'social misfit,' 'geek,' or something along those lines. In every prejudice, there's a bit of truth, and here it is: for a social misfit, video games can constitute a sort of 'alternative reality.' Quite true, but who is more of a misfit—the guy who spends 8 hours a day in virtual worlds or the girl who spends 16 hours a day on Facebook and various social forums? I would say the latter, but advertising makes sure that the latter is socially accepted and, in fact, not even considered problematic."
