Radiohead Amnesiac

I don't know, for me it remains the most "difficult" album by Radiohead, I wouldn't give it more than 3 stars... Without bringing up the old masterpieces, I think both Kid A and Hail to the Thief are better...

oh well, if this album "opens the band's doors to Europe" XD here it’s not just about re-reading, knowing how to write would already be a good start...

You broke it with this album!!! Reviews are terrible anyway.

like the others, the review is very vague and superficial, I don't know what your expectations were and what your knowledge on the subject is, but tearing apart an album like this is no small feat, and if you really hate it, you should explain why... I personally consider it one of the best dark expressions of contemporary alternative rock... and even the last one isn’t that bad if listened to carefully.

lol, the review is atrocious, worse than the album...
by the way, this CD was released in 2000 in the USA, before the Korn declined and... well, Limp had already embarked on the path of egocentrism...
anyway, this album wasn’t the terrible mess that people want to believe; sure, it’s a teenage record, definitely aimed at the mass market, but not entirely to be thrown away... paradoxically, there were a handful of tracks that stood out, like Crawling, Pushing Me Away, and By Myself... obviously, if the chaos of 50 distorted guitars wasn't your thing, it was to be avoided, yet I still believe they performed well live... sure, nothing deep, but functional to the purpose of "noisy" music...

Great review in my opinion, I won't rate the album because I haven't listened to it thoroughly, and without attention I couldn't be objective... Having seen them at the Heineken as well, I can say that they actually stand out from the syrupy and pathetic mess of Italian pop; unlike some others you've mentioned, they deserve respect.

It's a bit too essential for an album like this, right? I give it a 5 anyway, a masterpiece on par with Mutter.

In my opinion, you have somewhat misunderstood the review… it’s true that the image is of New York, but the wound isn’t just that of the Big Apple; it belongs to all of America… even though it has only had Republican mayors for a long time, New York represents that multicultural ethnic center where suffering and prosperity coexist, the liberal intellectual hub of the United States… it’s wrong to say ā€œNY took it in the assā€; it’s ā€œAmerica took it in the assā€ā€¦ from there, we need to separate the wounds of pride and image from the physical ones, the ones that left a mark, ones that can’t be erased with a wipe… and there, the wound is that of the city, because from the heights of those towers, it wasn’t politicians or powerful multinational owners who died… at 8:30, it’s maintenance workers, it’s employees and secretaries who, deep down, work like ants, realizing what the powerful think has left them with the skin… it’s ordinary people, and that’s precisely why the wound hurts even more… I believe Spike Lee’s parallel is between Monty and America, those who perhaps don’t deserve such punishment but somehow sought it… NY is the inevitable backdrop for this reflection, and I’ve rarely seen a film hit the target with such effectiveness… aside from an exceptional cast, the direction and the screenplay are impeccable, the message comes across; personally, I consider it Spike Lee’s best film, with respect for his numerous past productions… one last note, the soundtrack is perhaps the best I’ve heard in the last 6-7 years in a film of this kind… I lived in NY for 4 years as a child, but certain things have stuck with me…

perfectly agree, striking down also requires style... it may be a shitty band, but writing fuck u in the review is quite a low blow...

MC&TIF is the most complex, twisted, perhaps scattered work by SP... but it remains a masterpiece, the beauty of each single track shines through quickly, whether it’s a powerful and fierce piece or a slow ballad... a monument of the 90s, however, I consider it second to Siamese Dream for the perfect balance of the latter... the rating remains 5 because still, there are too few CDs like this one coming out..
