Godsend sucks, but this seems to be doing its best to achieve it.
Steven Spielberg Munich

one of Spielberg's best recent works. Also because lately he has made some garbage.

I've always loved this movie

I prefer the horror of the first and second to the absurdity of the third; it's a matter of taste.

Seen a few years ago, it’s a trash movie that unexpectedly fulfills the contract; if you enjoy the genre, it’s worth a look.
Roberto Benigni La Vita E' Bella

Hjhhjij (and here I was thinking I had a difficult nickname to type), for the same reason why Scorsese was chosen for The Departed and not for Goodfellas or Casino or Mean Streets. The Academy, in my opinion, probably notes down the names for which they'll give an award sooner or later, and then hands them out randomly whenever they can.

funny, a fit Benigni
Roberto Benigni La Vita E' Bella

For me, the most overrated film by Benigni. It's clear that that year the Italians were charming, or maybe the Holocaust never goes out of style, or perhaps the other foreign films were just weak. Otherwise, the Oscars are inexplicable. Still, while it's watchable, there are a couple of ugly moments that make you grit your teeth, primarily the American soldier in the tank at the end of the film. Other than that, it’s not obscene, it’s just nothing special.

I also don't think he is a director of take it or leave it, quite the contrary, I've always found him fluctuating, between gems and forgettable films. The Academy never fails to surprise me, for better or for worse.
F. Gary Gray The Italian Job

a very lightweight film, but it's always worth seeing Norton and Charlize Theron
