Actually, what am I saying, 3? You gave 2 to SD for the review of Asjklf. 2 to an album that rivals Nevermind in terms of importance. The fact is that you just hate the band, regardless of the quality of each individual album, and don’t deny it.

I gave it a 4 because I like the album. The sound is what I expected (and what it was logical to expect), so any review that brings up complaints about this aspect is garbage, because we all knew it would be like this. Don't like it? Don't listen to it. I don't expect any understanding, but as long as I see "reviews" at this level (not just for the score, but also for the form and the vulgarity), I will keep trashing the author. You’re the first to call it shit in any review from the group while pretending to seek constructive dialogue. And you even gave Siamese Dream a 3, one of the most important rock albums of the last 20 years. What am I even talking to you for?

It's a shame that in the review you often contradict yourself; on the other hand, I've already dissected how even if you had listened to the other albums, apparently you understood nothing of the journey. But what "review, personal opinion, judgment based on listening to the album," this page is a jumble of meaningless insults.

Apart from the fact that Gloria is an '80s film, actually from what I read it’s from '80, no, I’ve never seen it, but on any site it’s definitely rated lower than Léon... anyway, I’ll see if I can get my hands on it.

@alessio: it means that if you're not a fan, this album isn't for you. And the fact that reviews are popping up like mushrooms from people who barely know Mellon Collie gives me the right to call out their authors. About the rating, it's true that even considering the band's history, this album struggles to reach a passing grade; there are 5-6 good tracks and the rest is forgettable (therefore, an album in line with the times, a weak album for the SP). But I am a fan, and while I can't give it a 5 because that would be absurd, a 3 feels too low and there's no 3.5, so I gladly round up to 4 given the bunch of 1s I see. All in good faith.

But then at least you could have written a review... here I see nothing but a bunch of insults to the band and to BC, your comments reveal the extraordinary ignorance you carry not only regarding the band but music in general (punk rock genre, where the hell do you live?). From what you write, it’s clear that you only know a bit about MC and perhaps Machina, so there’s no reason to complain about the sound of this album in the first place. You should have started by talking about Adore or SD to be credible, but if you’re not a detractor of Machina and write what you’ve written here, you’re simply an idiot. You ask where the songs like Zero and BWBW are? Do you know what year it is, what has happened in the meantime, and which SP albums have been released since MC? Apparently not. And then, "no one thinks about the ears of the poor unfortunate souls who will listen to this filth, deluded to find one of the albums of the year," but who the hell is forcing you to listen to this album? Are you stupid or a masochist? You don’t understand a damn thing and/or you hate hard rock, so why the hell do you bother listening to it? "A voice made even gayer than it was with gay choirs scattered here and there like parsley all over the album and in addition, buzzing guitars overdubbed 3000 times to create a psychedelic effect"... first, wash your mouth out before talking about Corgan in these terms, the only queer here is you, complaining because a higher entity forced you to listen to and review an album that you had no hope of appreciating. You don’t like overdubs? Then you shouldn’t touch albums like Machina even with a stick, but from what you write, it seems the opposite. Where did you write something stupid? At the beginning or at the end?... This album is not the best of the Pumpkins, and it’s certainly not the album of the year. This album is more or less what was expected and picks up exactly from post-Machina. Unconditional fans of Adore and convinced detractors of Machina, who were deluding themselves about a return to the past despite all the opposing signals, can express their discontent, respectfully. All the others who complain by writing trash like this review, asking where the songs from MC are, why the sound is this way and not that way... you are just idiots because you are whining about an album you knew you would hate even before listening to it. Keep your whining to yourselves and come to terms with the fact that this album is, for better or worse, what the fans, the true ones, have been asking for years.

happy, you spend the rest, these are opinions, but objectively, how the hell can you write that Gary Oldman gives his worst? I mean, I’m speechless…
