Stanley Kubrick Eyes Wide Shut

let's call it a fucking movie. But since it’s the last one by Kubrick, it must be a masterpiece.

"A complete artist - Justin" "the talent (that goes beyond music, as he is also an excellent actor)" "pure talent, crystal-clear talent, talent that shines with every listen of his works." "Anyone who has had the honor of listening to the previous works of the former N'Sync knows this already." And I’ll stop at the second paragraph. I hope that one day you will read these lines again and slap yourself. I hope so for you.

5 for the worst Kubrick? Not even in a dream. If it weren't for Kubrick's name on this film, nobody would pay it any attention.

supersoul, don’t you think it’s a contradiction to write "I too abhor the call for 'genetic' violence from 300," when if there's one point of absolute fidelity to the comic, it's precisely this? Then those you call "digressions on the power games at court with subterfuge and betrayal!!!" have such a minor and marginal role in the film, maybe two minutes out of two hours, that I struggle to justify such a statement. Even Sin City, despite the impressive fidelity to the comic book, has a couple of marked differences (in the third chapter), but nothing that minimally distorts the spirit of the comic. Films like 300 are either liked or not, and Snyder simply says, "to appreciate the work, you need to enter the cinema with the intention of appreciating the excesses that characterize it." Bjorky's reaction would have been exactly the same in front of the comic.

It is taken from the comic and there is a lot of defele. It doesn’t have particular claims of historical realism and various bullshit, it’s expensive entertainment.

Check with the DeSearch engine that the album you want to review is not already in the magical DeDatabase. "If it’s already there, it's up to you to decide whether it’s still worth writing a review: maybe yes (you have something else to say), but maybe no." You didn’t read this, did you?

big movie, 4 and a half. I round it up.
Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill (Vol. 1 e 2)
Voto:
I'm not too sure that the money will come in the same way... Kill Bill was supposed to be a trilogy, but the "average" earnings of the first chapter only allowed for one sequel, which made less at the box office than its predecessor (but it also cost half of what the first chapter did). Grindhouse literally went unnoticed across the ocean. I’d say he makes these films partly because he believes in them (rightly or wrongly).
