Good, we’re not at Burton’s level, but Nolan has done a great job of cleaning up the cinematic image that fell from grace after Schumacher's last two messes... Bale manages to be both the most convincing Batman ever, and unfortunately, one of the least convincing Bruce Waynes (beaten only by the dreadful Val Kilmer)... fortunately, Caine lends him a hand. The sequel is coming, The Dark Knight, and I’m already a bit worried to see Heath Ledger take on the role of the great Nicholson...

Cameron's sequel has stood the test of time much better; it undoubtedly represents a cornerstone of science fiction, while Scott's is old, and it shows. It's also worth mentioning the underrated Alien3 by Fincher, several steps below the first two installments but far from worthless.

It was watchable at the cinema, but as the Punisher says, it's a one-way ticket; I definitely wouldn't watch it again if I can avoid it... too hyped up for a film of this level.
