Nightmare Before Christmas is a live action (and yes, it’s the best live action there is), it has little to do with animated films, especially, it has nothing to do with CG animation. In terms of technique, just the water in this film is enough to obliterate any previous efforts. But just like with The Incredibles, the winning card is the characters, designed as perfectly as could be.

Well, even "universal religion"... it's true that there’s a huge following, but I would still be cautious. Then again, all progressive trance, no matter how you look at it, is a static genre; it doesn’t evolve. Once you’ve heard all the leading names and all the original ideas, the emotions run out. The same goes for hard trance, although it hits harder; the foundation is still static and we are always in search of new melodies. Goa is the exception, the only one that is very much alive, varied, and variable, capable of reinventing itself with each track despite the bpm being anchored around 150 on average. These days, I mainly listen to hardtek and breakcore (190 bpm), and the only trance I can still enjoy is indeed goa.

very recently reissued in blue disc, simply stunning... I confirm what has already been said, this and The Incredibles remain the true Pixar masterpieces. How a kids' movie like Monsters Inc. can be so liked remains a mystery...

It doesn't surpass No Country for Old Men, just as it doesn't surpass There Will Be Blood. However, in my opinion, the statuette for Best Actor will go to Depp.
