After the marketing hype, it seemed like it was going to compete with the best of Scorsese (and therefore not The Departed)... none of that, a watchable film, well-made, but absolutely not indispensable and that leaves no mark.

Voto:

"Gomorrah" or "Il Divo" are the most interesting Italian productions of the last five years, if not the last decade. Go watch them without hesitation because they are a breath of fresh air and proof that Italians still know how to produce quality films when they want to... I'm still waiting for a review of Gomorrah here on DeBaser, preferably from a Neapolitan. I might write the one for Il Divo myself :P

Too many years have gone by, too many excellent scripts at the time were discarded because the S&L duo had other plans in mind... so no Nazis, no Connery, no '30s. And also a plot that leaks more than that of Temple of Doom. What a shame, Indy; the spectacle makes more noise and certainly shines more, but it's not as entertaining as before. Rating: 2.5
