Yes, but judge, you are wrong because you involve intelligent women; you have to start regardless of the fact that those who appreciate this stuff are either fools or ignorant deadbeats. Personally, I have a friend (male, mind you) who appreciates this idiotic garbage, someone whose profession is a plumber (maximum respect, but you don't really clash with intellectuals) and who has never opened a book or a newspaper in 24 years of life... these films are an insult to common intelligence for a myriad of reasons. Anyone who appreciates them can only be lacking in intelligence or come from a background where culture and beauty are not adequately promoted. That said, Lavin must surely have other good qualities, or she is a simpleton, or she’s tired of quality cinema and wants to shoot some crap; it happens to everyone sooner or later. However, these reviews that give dignity to some abysmal nonsense are borderline misleading; it ends up that someone really believes it.

Citizen Kane is also a semi-absurd comedy and should be evaluated in the same light as this… a bit like you, who are a damn human case, and deserve isolation on the infernal island of human cases alongside your predecessor.

The mid-nineties thriller, not much to add except that the chopped-up television version should be avoided in favor of the original, of course. The review is cool, no ifs or buts.

"A half-hearted attempt at denunciation and a lack of guts to sign it." This phrase is stupid, and essentially summarizes the review. It’s unthinkable to make a film about the character in question before his death and also include the trial; one would be sued and condemned without appeal for defamation, given that the hunchback has in fact been acquitted. This is a great Italian film; perhaps films about the trial will be made when the dinosaur becomes extinct. In the meantime, there's a lot to refresh the memory about what the First Republic was and what it meant for this country.
