The Cure Pornography
Voto:
Boring, nothing innovative, there was better around in their genre.
But it wasn't so bad either; it had its own charm.
I agree with those who prefer Boys Don't Cry (I have the version with this title),
The only one from The Cure that I would give 4 stars to.

Now I understand my uncle
He obviously hates her.
He always speaks poorly of her.
In the sense that every time he curses (for the most trivial reasons, like the car not starting, a forgetfulness or things like that) he mentions her and always adds a rather unflattering word about her moral standards.
Now that I've read your comments on this Madonna
I understand
My uncle is right

On this undeniable and unparalleled masterpiece by De Andrè, much has already been said, perhaps everything.
Another explicit review of the content would be unnecessary.
So this can be considered a meta-review.
Or an emotional review, deliberately minimal, and it should be judged as such.
Therefore, 1 and 2 seem unfair to me.
On the other hand, however, even looking at it with these eyes, it seems unsatisfactory to limit oneself to just a thought about the album and then provide only the lyrics and tracklist.
Let’s settle on 3, okay?
Franco Battiato Gilgamesh
Voto:
For me, Battiato wrote great pop songs,
and terrible avant-garde pieces. Apart from the first four albums (there was something good there), from "Madamoiselle le Gladiator" onwards, he only created works that were as pretentious as they were unlistenable. He did well to turn to pop with the wild boar. It's disappointing that he's abandoning it for such nonsense. I had the album at home for a while, and I know it well; it sucks.
I talk this way because, as a novice, I was fascinated by Battiato's experimental side. With repeated listening and, above all, the expansion of horizons in the genre, it's really broken me. Maybe I’ve been extreme in my judgment, perhaps, but I hope it's not sterile.
Offlaga Disco Pax Bachelite

I believe it's not a record for everyone. It shares emotions more than music; I like it, but I think it can leave indifferent those who are not interested in its themes.
AA.VV. 58° Festival Di Sanremo
Voto:
Instead, I think it will stick to us like pizza does to the mandolin. The Sanremo festival goes worldwide (it seems), and it has always been followed by many people even abroad (I don't mean just expatriates). When you think of Italy, you think of that type of melodies, not of Zu Uzeda or Phola Dactylus or Stormy Six CCCP etc etc etc, groups that have nothing to envy to many giants of Anglo-American rock, but that's that: Songs and flowers from Italy and patience. I heard that this year's ratings have been poor, let's hope...
Devo Oh, No! It's DEVO
Voto:
I quote supersoul (even if the U2 discography wouldn't be worth it for free). With their first 3 albums, DEVO made an enormous contribution to the history of rock and to the quality of my life: they were among my favorite bands until the release of the 4th album. For this reason, I would have preferred them to disband after Freedom of Choice, also because I would have refrained from buying New Traditionalists sight unseen, saving some money (which was pretty limited back then) and avoiding the tremendous disappointment upon listening. They were truly great. R.I.P.
