Well, actually Queen II is not the second album, but the fifth: before Queen there were Gettin' Smile, Ghost Of A Smile (basically a fixation), and In Nuce. I know this because I discovered it last week, and now I can strut around shamelessly being a know-it-all.
Yes, the babagliaio is great, a bit like the pathè d'animo (or like my colleague who, the other day, said "I don't remember... I have a LAPIS").
Then, honestly, I don't think a seven-minute song was a big deal back then: let's think of the exhausting... ehm, sorry, I meant VIRTUOSISTIC suite by Yes...

eeeeh, stop crying... all women love drummers, Roger Taylor used to say it all the time! (...)
anyway: a very dear friend of mine was just there to see you last Friday. I wasn't there, as I was in Bologna at the Peter Murphy Show (I'll have to write a review of that concert, my strong sense of civic duty demands it).
anyway, a sexual-object drummer is quite something. if he's also emaciated and tormented, it's really something special ;)

not everything that is aligned is beautiful... not everything that is beautiful is aligned... [what deep thoughts, huh?] and then it happens that there are also those who are aligned AND good... (read De André). I can stand the nofx very little (but that's my problem).

Come on... don’t be mean to falafel... the biting polemic vibe isn’t bad... it made me chuckle quite a bit, even though I don’t agree with everything (like: those despised '80s weren’t really THAT bad, going beyond Scialpi, Sabrina Salerno, or Nick Kershaw)... then again, de gustibus and so on... I’ve just started to fill in my many cultural gaps, so I don’t know these Shed Seven, I hope to find them at half price or something like that, so we can see what they’re like. The album, aside from quotes and counter-quotes of more or less real plagiarism, is boring. It’s saved on top (at least in my opinion), while the chart-topping single has a certain unfinished quality that’s disturbing.

added review to favorites. fuck the killers who even stole my money for the album (not having a TV or radio sometimes pays off)

OH. don't touch me Nino D'Angelo, or I’ll go wild. His cherubic charm and his frail physique are quite something, and his acting in "Nu ggins e na maglietta" has left an indelible mark on my heart. Jokes aside: in my opinion, the last film, Aitanic to be clear, was really well done, I saw it in the cinema in Naples (no way?) and I liked it quite a lot.
