The Beatles Help!

Well... thank goodness old Martin came out on top, yesterday without bows it wouldn't have been her! I agree with Massimof, great choice. Anyway, to the enthusiasts, I would also recommend getting the movie, I bought it almost by chance and it's a gem, quite absurd and very funny.

Children, I confess my 'ignorance: I didn't even know who this hugo race was, not to mention Cesare Basile, never heard of him either... now that you've enlightened me, I saw online that Basile has released an album called Gran Calavera Elettrica, which they say is very nice... it might be my next purchase (so we’ll be at 206 records I need to buy). About the first song they sang: I don't know?!? I don't know what to tell you. Anyway: yes, I think that after a concert the After smell quite a bit... especially if SOMEONE we know insists on wearing those little leather pants and those tight shirts even when it's 40 degrees Celsius and it's mid-July ;)

eheheh. I noticed the blond guy, he was playing with a lot of passion and involvement, even though I preferred the voice of the Chitarrista Old American Style and the Chitarrista Italiano. thank you so much trellheim! I hope "chocolate and cheese" is available commercially without too much difficulty. eeeeeh, the Afterhours are like Superga: you either hate them or love them.

The megagruppone? Honestly, I really enjoyed them, even though at the time people were grumbling because Mix was saying that Songs With Other Strangers were the last band scheduled, which created a panic around me (some in the audience feared that Afterhours had canceled at the last minute) and led to expressions of annoyance against the band. However, the tension eased once Agnelli started playing with them. I was in pole position, right in front of the barriers, next to the guy who yelled the whole time "W LA BASSISTAAA" and "MANDATEMELA A CASAAAAA," not sure if you can picture it, and I had a great time, also for a nostalgic reason: their style reminded me a lot of a song by Ween whose title I don’t know, but I love it, the one that goes "buenas tardes amigo, hola my good friend, cinco de mayo on thuersday and I hope we will see each other again" (by the way: if anyone knows Ween, can you tell me what song it is and which album it's on? danke!). And did you like the megagruppone?

I almost forgot: I shamelessly swiped the photo from the web. I don't have a camera, and even if I did, I wouldn't know how to use it.

uhm... yeah... it's the other side of the coin... being so identified with your public persona that everyone expects things from you that, perhaps, you don’t want or can’t give at that moment... or they expect you to be what they believe you are, they expect you to conform to the stereotype they have in their heads (remember Misery?)... I think it's one of the problems necessarily connected to Being A Star... every public figure has to deal with it sooner or later, and I guess it’s better to put on a brave face... otherwise, Kathy Bates gets angry... at Arezzo Wave, Agnelli was a great stage actor (a bit cocky and a bit self-deprecating) and also quite kind, practically every three notes he thanked the audience for coming. I would also love to have a conversation with him over a glass of red, he’s a guy whose mind intrigues me. The best would be if Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi and Paul Weller joined the drink too.......

Uh... could we fall back in line, people? Music should unite, and if it’s going to be a source of fundamentalist wars too, then we might as well just take each other out, because there’s no escaping in this world. Come on, enough, smoke the peace pipe and let’s move on.

Great review! Yesterday I had the same mystical experience at Arezzo Wave, it was wonderful (even though when they played Sui Giovani D'Oggi Ci Scatarro Su, I nearly got trampled... ). I understand what you mean when you talk about the fear of approaching what you think is a tortured & bloody poet and finding yourself in front of a little arrogant brat. In fact, Agnelli does have a bit of the narcissist in him... by the way, that little tuft he has should make him reflect on the fact that he doesn't really have the phisique du role to play the handsome guy... but on the other hand, he's good... let's forgive him for that...

Indeed trellheim: the best part of the show was in the encore. Obviously you were right bloody, the sound engineer finally understood what the hell that thing full of buttons and lights was, so lovely (if only he hadn't been so LATE and figured it out sooner.............). By the way, a lot of people complained after the concert was over. I’m doing some research on Murphy's solo work, but I have to wait for my next paycheck to buy something (but WHY are there so MANY records to buy and so FEW money?).
Yes, 1976 was a great year ;)
YES!!! IN URBINO!!!
