To the votes... 6.5 for the review and a 6 as encouragement for the album, not so much for its content, but because, after all, placing this album in the Blink's formative journey represents a step forward, hoping they can showcase a more mature sound, less MTV sound [note the term... damn!].

In fact, t.Fax, Blink 182 are not punk-rock... they have nothing to do with the punk-rock you have in mind... the history of punk has changed from '77 to today: in '77 there was such a sharing of values (drugs, anarchy, rebellion) that punk became a lifestyle, not just a musical genre. After the grunge revolution, now we have to endure the POP-PUNK revolution, a genre that Blink fully identifies with. If Blink were punk like the Clash were, they wouldn't be great musicians; they would just be great clowns.

What I think is that the album isn't to be discarded. In about five years, perhaps, it will be reevaluated, just as is happening these days with Zooropa and Pop. I remember when Pop came out in 1997, I believe, that many fans and non-fans of U2 got goosebumps. Today, seven years later, many say that Pop is an experimental album. It is said today, in various reviews, that Zooropa is directly in line with the sound of late '70s Berlin and with Bowie's trilogy (hmm... I don't believe that).
