but no voiceface and tepes you don't understand a thing: the problem isn't the character, it's that their music really sucks and as a result, the character is also irritating because of how it's constructed and fake... come on... study a bit, because there’s really excellent contemporary instrumental music out there... not this crap. kisses

I'm in agreement that Neu does sound more universal. And of course, I'm referring to Negativland. But I'm not so sure; the acidity of the guitars in that piece, while distant from the typical '70s, is still recognizable. For can, the guitars are even more contextualized, I agree. But libezeit? His drumming for me is just as good as Neu's. Frankly, the ride of halleluwja doesn’t seem so '70s to me. Not to mention the drummachine pieces of perking or.

I agree with Neu, but the same goes for the hammering of halleluwja... how can you say it's contextualized? The guitars, maybe they are...

Aristotle: the inability referred to by Czuckay is not creative, but rather technical inability, ignorance if you will. Inability and ignorance allow the mind to fly free from preconceptions and conventions… to surpass them, unleashing the creative act in its infinite power. He himself later states that after a few years, when they had actually refined their technical skills, he noticed an overall loss, a withering of compositional freshness. The episode with Libezeit (the drummer) is also enlightening; he played in a free jazz group before Can. One day, after one of his many free performances, showcasing maximum technique and speed, a guy from the audience said to him: "But why do you play so complicated? It's all nonsense; try to be more monotone"... leading to gems like Hallelujah...

No Poletti, I understood perfectly. The point is that no one praised Titanic back then except for hordes of teenage girls... and maybe you...

OK Fusillo, I didn’t understand that you understood ( :-) ). But precisely because you understood, I don’t get your annoyance towards the “medium,” which perhaps now more than ever is actually the message. In my opinion, a "realist" film, like the good Romanzo Criminale, wouldn’t have been the same, and in my view, it wouldn’t have had that aesthetic and communicative power. Ciauz
