Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Damn the Torpedoes
Voto:
Listen, Ashluke, I don't really like this informal review for an album by one of my idols. Tom Petty is already not well-known despite his greatness, and if you add this... it sounds like a Topo Gigio album.
The Rolling Stones Exile On Main Street

RingoS the first rock n' roll band? Let me know later, if anything, I’ll average it out with another grade..... This album, for me, is one of the most sincere and straightforward of the Rollings. Perhaps the most "real."

"Luka" is one of the most beautiful songs from those years. Almost perfect. I completely disagree with you about Tom's Diner, Grasshopper; I much prefer the sparse original version. It made more sense in relation to the content of the lyrics.
Fabrizio De André Fabrizio De André in concerto volume 1
Voto:
One of the most beautiful Italian records. Probably the best live album by an Italian artist. Truly memorable. Perhaps the review could have emphasized even more the evocative sound of that concert.
Paolo Conte Aguaplano

Yes, I also believe it's not Conte's best, but it gets a 5 because his best are a 6.

Ringo, you forgot an important detail, the palm of your hand that was hitting the guitar's body to keep the rhythm. And let’s also include that leather jacket (which sold so much...) with all those gas ads... In reality, I believe he is a pop genius. Of course, if a song like that hits you on the head when you're a teenager, it makes a whole different impression!

If you're a "futurist" smash it! Zuum, vrooomm, zan! When are the Picassian reviews coming?
Antonello Venditti - Francesco De Gregori Theorius Campus
Voto:
Come on, staff. I really like it this way. If anything, cut the short, trivial, and ugly ones! That way you make space for these. An album and a review that talk about an Italy that no longer exists. Everything has changed in the meantime. And the two singer-songwriters are no longer here - musically and in spirit - either.
Bruce Springsteen Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Live/1975-85

Calm down, Born... Damn... he's a good kid... and he will never tell you to screw off but... he’ll grind your balls until you can't take it anymore, and even beyond, if he's having a good day. Amusingly. He has this damn (what a Tarantino-esque adjective) obsession with always being right (musically). And being right is whatever he likes. Sure, it’s a bit of a narrow viewpoint but he defends it like an angry mastiff cornered after taking a kick to the nuts. But in reality, for me, he's just someone who wants to stand out from the crowd and would like to distinguish himself from the masses (always musically speaking). I repeat, he’s young and bold. It’s a phase in his life where he seems to always be right but... he will mature and, one day, he will become wise like me.
