Madonna Confession on a Dance Floor

Oh Charles, come on! When you enter a nightclub, it’s clear that you’re there to have fun. You can’t start preaching about nightclubs. The posers you’re talking about are everywhere, and they’re probably not very beneficial for our society. Anyway, I detest a poser who watches "la talpa" even more than one who tries to hit on a girl in the club while dancing to Hung Up. Life also needs a bit of irony.

Charles... come on! What music do they play in a "cool" club? Let me know... Madame Ciccone hasn't declined because she's always been at this level; in fact, this album has great sounds compared to her standard works. Or do you worship Like a Virgin and despise this?

Great review (I don't quite agree with the historical reconstruction). The album is a classic.

The Alex, listen, their only album was the first: Appetite for destruction. This reflects the object on the cover that evokes the title... do you know what it is???

Commercially, I like the gesture of publishing a nice complete collection that I will buy for Christmas.

Adolescent review that always mixes up the same old discussion: when an album sells, is it because it’s "commercial" (a disgusting meaning I still can’t grasp) or because it turned out so well that it sold a lot? Another question: when a band (or singer) composes an album, do they do it with the intention of selling it or not? I believe that an album is either good or bad, regardless of how much it has sold. In other words, if this Metallica album sold poorly, and therefore wasn't "commercial," should it be considered successful?? This is a mediocre album, plain and simple.

Instead, dear zucchetta (read disco_stu), for me funkrock is alive now just as much as when this album was released. I mean, a well-crafted album can't "kill" a genre, you'll agree...

Disco_stu, I instead got to know them with this CD. It's an excellent album from the '90s. In your review, however, I found some points that I don't understand, first of all the idea that this music genre would have died with this album? It seems a bit unlikely to me. Then there's this talk about commercialism... so boring. I believe that any singer or rock band is happy to be liked and, consequently, to sell. Then the "really angry" songs???? Well...
