Grass, your reviews have been getting longer lately... but Jan deserves it. Great choice!

I almost forgot... I don’t think I’ve ever seen uglier covers than this one.

This Beck is good and original, but sometimes it "stuck" in my stomach like I've eaten too much bread and porchetta (I had to balance out the lofty post by Sfasc...). This is one of his best works. But the rating barely reaches a 4.

J.Morrison! Ach! Argh! As they used to say on Strumtruppen! So, let’s put it this way: it's a 5-star album for the songs, for the band, for the performance, that's true. But I personally like it as a 4. Then, Jim, it's really hard to say what is "right." Right for whom?
Eric Clapton Unplugged
Voto:
Jim, your last paragraph completely resonates with me. Everything is very perfect and clean, everything in its place, a crystal. And indeed, I gave it a 4, which for me equals "a really great record." But to reach a 5, I always need either a spark of genius or a big slice of soul. Here, there’s neither.

I actually like this album too. But in my opinion, a 4 is more than fair.
