John, it’s not easy to comment on a review/rant like this. I probably won’t listen to the album (Extremes have always bothered me, like Deicide/Christian music). However, as Josi_ says, you have the courage to expose yourself in such a “crystalline” way. Perhaps God is sought better in absolute silence.

MP, those were the days of "Waco Jesus" when you reached the glorious and festive heights of the "most recommended" reviews. When you were setting trends. When everything you touched turned to gold. When success filled your dressing room with groupies. When you strutted through the trendy streets of London, arm in arm with that Geseneth from the Personal Disturbing Suicide Of The World (PDSotW). And now, instead, in the autumn of your career, relegated to a miserable second tier, quoting yourself. The winning you from back then!!! Life is a wheel, and sometimes you step in shit. Come on, even Tom Jones, the guy from Sex Bomb, made it; he’s reborn!!! Don’t give up. As an Inter fan, I await your return to Serie A.

Between saying and doing, my grade dropped, it happens. It was a fraction of a second, a flash! A Freudian grade.

Tepes, metalheads over 20 years old have, unfortunately, not grown up. But, after all, it could also be considered a good thing!

Damn it, you've become like Dylan, like U2, like REM, like Prince, like the Mars Volta (!)... Enough with the self-referencing, damn it! I’m giving you a 3 for your career. The album, though, is worth dissecting, and perhaps the band members too.

What the HHHHAAAAAA???? Mediocre Elvis??? Overrated Beatles? Listen, velvet-gray friend, trying to be alternative might earn you some "coolness," but it also risks spouting nonsense. The Beatles, whether you like their music or not, influenced hundreds if not thousands of bands that came after them. Elvis alone almost invented Rock 'n Roll... Your judgments, like yours, based on personal feelings, even though they offer a different perspective, are ultimately irrelevant.

But how can you expect the most from Prince today?? Don’t you think every artist has a creative-artist trajectory? Do you still expect from Dylan a Blonde on Blonde or from Springsteen a Darkness or from U2 a The Joshua Tree? Be realistic my LestoFriend!

Lesto, a bit too many "what the hell"... but aside from that, a review that hides a grain of truth. But just a grain, because if die-hard fans fall into the banal mistake of praising everything at all costs, people like you fall into the equally obvious mistake (then unmasked by your 3/5 which means a very good album...) of criticizing blindly. To me, it seems like a 3.5/5 album, that is, very good indeed. It doesn't reach the level of excellent and far less a masterpiece (5/5) just because Prince has already delivered his heavy hitters. But your little preachy attitude towards someone like Prince is a bit irritating for those who love music.

Editors, the question is: freedom at all costs? Freedom above all and everyone? Is the freedom that is "exploited" to destroy justified? Is the freedom "bent" to dull stupidity acceptable? You must have posed yourselves the little problem, that you have answered? For freedom, do we tolerate graffiti on an eighteenth-century villa? Or do we erase it? The freedom given to a child can be harmful (to themselves and to others...), right? Is it time to close the cage?
