I just listened to it, it’s truly fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't find a more specific adjective than this that isn't already included in this review (recommended), which frames the sound coming from this album perfectly. "An indescribable magma of remnants of acid rock, (more Amon Duul II than Jefferson Airplane…) and bursts of putrefied electronics that, in some ways, approach the eccentricities of the Residents, but with a beat worthy of the wildest garage punk." Compliments, I couldn't have defined their style better... in my opinion, this is even better than half machine lip movies... less noisy, more musical, more "listenable." It's true that the former represents a brilliant example of sound experimentation, but perhaps it stays there, to be appreciated as a work but not to be listened to too much (at least as far as I'm concerned). This, on the other hand, is a perfect meeting between industrial cacophonies and what we might call "psychedelic punk," relatively more catchy... am I blaspheming? Who cares!

I read it again after listening to the album and it's truly an exceptional review, capturing perfectly the essence of the album (melody + psychotic pounding) along with a beautiful reflection on repetition and repetitiveness... congratulations and I vote again.

Anyway, you are right in saying that perhaps it wasn't Gabriel's abandonment that pushed toward pop.. it was just adapting to the trends. Would you really have wished they continued to be baroque (as Copernicus rightly says) until today?

Yes, apart from the fact that Gabriel also played the flute, let's not compare his voice to Collins'. It's true that it comes quite close in timbre, but just that little bit is enough for Phil to become sentimental and predictable (for example, I always skip "More Fool Me" on "Selling England"), and let's not forget about Peter's chameleon-like quality, his histrionics, which are definitely superior... certainly an extra touch. As for the albums with Collins, I’ve never listened to them, since I’ve always heard bad things about them (but now I’m downloading the first two, "Trick..." and "Wind.."), I only mention this having in mind his timbre from a few songs I’ve heard here and there.

No, not like the ELP, no, these are just scary... to those who have never listened to them, I suggest starting with the self-titled album and *Acquiring the Taste*, the first two, which are a bit more "rock," and then move on to this one, which perhaps represents their masterpiece for completeness and maturity... the listening experience might be a bit challenging at first, but after a while, it flows beautifully. The medieval atmosphere is stunning, but not just that; every single passage (it must be said, they play every kind of instrument) is moving... to the reviewer (nice, but also clear and precise) I ask: what other albums do you recommend besides the three I've mentioned?

Dear editors, please consider the proposal... if it could be implemented, it would avoid one of the main issues of debaser.
