That rock 'n' roll, along with Velcro, was an invention of certain extraterrestrials perhaps motivated by the desire to advance the human race a bit, was known. But the intentions of the aliens involved in creating this Chrome album could hardly be described as peaceful...
The monstrosities left to marinate in the space landfill of Alien Soundtrack are much more repulsive than what had been seen until then in the worst trip of Hawkwind or the Grateful Dead; beyond any "Modern Dance" and well below the threshold of DEVOlution.

We are faced with a soundtrack for an orgy among mad machines, indecipherable life forms(?), and some remnants of sub-humanity, while in the air spreads that stench of mixed DNA, typical of teleportations gone awry (on the other side of the monitor, David Cronenberg watches and skins his hands from applause).
An indescribable magma of remnants of acid rock, (more Amon Düül II than Jefferson Airplane...) and gushes of decayed electronica that in some ways approach the extravagances of the Residents, but with, in addition, a beat worthy of the wildest garage punk.
The continuous mutations of the sound forms are assembled with a cubist surgery taste and move from shapeless narcosis, granite riffs, instrumental storms, to almost acoustic interludes, without ever lacking an engaging rhythm that perversely makes it all danceable. The most frozen catatonias and frequent circular nightmares are constantly broken to give life to supersonic vortices and runs towards chaos beyond the reach of any previous acid trip.

The result is a freezing, excruciating sound, saturated with anxiety and terror and at the same time amused and euphoric in showing the aberrations it is capable of, with the promise (or threat?) of absolutely unrecognizable pleasures.
