Guillermo Del Toro Il Labirinto Del Fauno

What do Kubrick and Chaplin have to do with it as benchmarks?! You’re serving us the most flagrant obtuseness combined with a lack of imagination and a gloomy mistrust of feelings. And you present this even in the form of critical, analytical, and unconventional thought. The results you’ve achieved seem rather eloquent to me.

it seems like a big mess, but for now, with this song, it works.
Yann Tiersen On Tour
Voto:
The beloved companion Yann passed away at Alcatraz months ago. So I went to say goodbye. I declare (not without a bit of mockery) that the highest percentage of the audience in the room, looking at the stage and not finding the most obvious sign of recognition, the piano, fell into a panic. It was the only instrument that wasn't there. This album is a pleasant novelty for everyone, given the arrangements and the melodies rooted in the most classic rock-noise. Highly recommended is the self-titled DVD, keeper of even more intriguing surprises.
Led Zeppelin Live On Blueberry Hill

I don't have it, but I'll try to get it. Are we talking about live? What do you think about how the west was won? Very few are allowed to know deities while alive. Thank you, Led Zeppelin...
Joel Schumacher The Number 23

I saw it on April 23. My favorite color is red (5 letters = 2+3) and I was born on May 23 (5th month of the year = 2+3). What a dumb movie.

Tim Burton Big Fish - Le Storie Di Una Vita Incredibile

Perfect like this. I would have used many more words, instead you picked the straight and fixed ones that were there. That’s why the review comes out maybe a bit too instructional as Pep suggests, but there’s no rhetoric at all. Good job.

Giovanni Allevi No Concept
Voto:
The music doesn't seem superficial to me at all, I insist. Using a benchmark like Jarrett is extremely sycophantic. Just to be clear, all the labels attributed to him (only recently, I repeat, nobody here knew him except as an ordinary sideman for Cherubini) sound obviously ridiculous, not just to the more or less educated musician's ear. The issue is the music, of course it is Fusillo. And I don’t see any rhetoric in his very naive and decidedly not "naive" attitudes. Because sincere people recognize themselves, especially when they play. We're not talking about jazz masters or new Mozarts, but about an artist who, despite all the constraints imposed by the Italian cultural environment, has managed to prove (not with the publicity of a machine, mind you) through an enormous series of worldwide sellouts, that he is an artist. And not at all mediocre. He would be mediocre the moment he defined himself in the same terms you have put in his mouth (which as a tactic to support your own thesis is a bit weak). The problem is this. Not the multiplicity of opinions, but that taste for reckless nonconformity that turns into conformity in itself and represents a radical prejudice among people. Bringing music to the masses, making it accessible to everyone while firmly maintaining intentions "like the fingers on the piano" (Riccardo Muti talking about Allevi) is the exact opposite of a demerit.

Given the endless stream of lobotomized opinions from the usual cowardly anonymous, I find it necessary to underline some concepts that have nothing to do with subjectivism. Firstly, one would expect a more in-depth and reasoned judgment than just "beautiful," "ugly," "shit," "ass," but I profess no type of discrimination against brainless individuals. The subject in question may or may not be liked, and likewise his music; but to leap from that to professing his ineptitude, incompetence, or overvaluation is a considerable stretch. Less naive readers will agree on the limitations of such "analyses." Secondly, although it should undoubtedly be the primary unavoidable point, Giovanni Allevi has been touring the globe for years without receiving any recognition in his native country, Italy (if I may use the beautiful language of my generation). And certainly, two sold-out nights at the BLU NOTE in New York shouldn't mean much to you. So I would strongly recommend delving into the life of the subject in question by taking a look at his biography before rambling aimlessly while citing Jarrett. Otherwise, keep watching the BMW ads and think of him as just another fool.
