Werner Herzog Fata Morgana
Voto:
An extraordinary visual experience. Just to be a bit of a know-it-all, I should point out that it’s not Herzog's first work, as he debuted with "Even Dwarfs Started Small," which I had the pleasure of watching a few years ago. Fata Morgana = mirage, in German. Herzog is a true adventurer before being a director.
Area 1978: Gli dei se ne vanno, gli arrabbiati restano!

Well, in my opinion, this is one of the weaker albums in Area's discography. Not that it's bad, but they've done better, and done it greatly, so it's something you can easily do without... I'll give the review a rating.

I need to intervene because I read too much nonsense. First of all, equating Nazism with Communism is outrageous, and there’s nothing more to add. As for the CCCP, the provocative vein is evident, and it’s partial and motivated solely by prejudice to insist on viewing their work from a predominantly political angle. Regarding the discussion of “in '84 it was fine, today it’s not,” there’s actually a lot to say. I must clarify that I speak as a historian and not as a *communist*. Togliatti, in his first speech in Italy upon returning from the Soviet Union, remained silent about the totalitarian aspects of Stalinism, but even in that first speech he undeniably expressed that the PCI would follow a path different from that of the PCUS. However, he could not simply discard the Resistance and the communist group that survived fascism by openly declaring a separation from the USSR. In short, the PCI could not have been established by openly distancing itself from the USSR. I bring up the Italian case because the CCCP are Italian and because I have the illusion that the history of Italy is known by those who participated in this discussion. This is simply to say to be cautious about throwing Cuba, the USSR, North Korea, etc., into the same pot. I won’t go further - for now - but I suggest someone study a bit of history before shooting their mouth off. In '84, Soviet totalitarianism was well known to the majority of Italian communists, and it was also known to Ferretti and others, and insisting that they were making Soviet apologia only shows stubbornness.

...and then Frank has such a big dick! I think I'm gonna take it... I have between 15 and 20 titles from Frank, I can't exactly remember how many off the top of my head, but I like them all. But it's been a while since I've listened to a new one, and given the great review, I'm gonna grab this one!
