Nirvana With The Lights Out?

I read it again: unsustainable, superficial, disgusting in its attempt to attract attention WITH DESPICABLE PHRASES, LIKE THE ONE THAT CONCLUDES IT. There remains the hope that, aside from the desire to show off, any further attempts at "reviewing" from you will be driven by some genuine interest and/or knowledge of music and a desire to compare and discuss your opinions with others. In the meantime, the only solution, it seems to me, is to signal the suffering with a rating.

Hal, I was just about to ask you if you had heard Meshell Ndegeocello's album! If there's one thing to thank Madonna for, it's that she continues to produce, under her label, the work of this somewhat overshadowed musician. And this album is truly one of the best I've heard lately. I'm looking forward to your review; it deserves it, what do you think?

Cobain's songwriting is among the most interesting of the last two decades in the rock scene. De André does not deserve to be brought up to justify a "review" like this. I don't like it at all, believe me, but I have to tell you: carelessness and confusion are what I find in this "review." "One of the many money-grabbing operations of record companies." Exactly. Why talk about it? Or rather, why use it to express such drastic and approximate judgments on a songwriter appreciated especially by great authors and musicians from entirely different fields? Steve Reich confessed to me that he appreciates him; is he also a talentless junkie? No, I really didn't like it, Dasaro. I'm sorry.

I had forgotten it... Does it mean something? But back then, it was enjoyable to listen to. The voice, indeed, was the distinctive feature. I don't remember what happened to McKenzie, do you know anything?

Logic, don’t be mistaken. It was for a job related to Criminal Warehouses or some theater company, if I’m not wrong. I don't have a high opinion of the group, even though I’ve known them since the beginning and seen them live; they immediately showed a quality and determination above the average of the Italian "scene." This, mainly because the first real album is the only one that sparked some interest in me... probably unpopular, but my overall judgment is negative.

A bad album. It must be said that "..this Raiz guy" has done something good over the last 15 years or so, and frankly, even though such a decline was sensed, it is quite disappointing. He remains one of the few great voices in the Italian "pop" scene. We’ll see what he comes up with after this misstep. As you can see, I'm not delving into the "parahistorical" delirium. We've already had our fill, so why insist? But giving 5/5 to an album whose review ends with "Ma va a caghè Pistola" is another "nice" gimmick?

A wonderful album.

Well, maybe, given the effect it seems to have on you, you should listen to different music. And I recommend taking it with...irony.

Dude, as far as I'm concerned, the issue is that, for me, it's just impossible to rank them. Jaco is at the top, but not so isolated... Of course, Holland is another one that I really like a lot; recently he has produced some excellent stuff. Maybe I'll think about it; if I settle on a name, I'll let you know.
