Regular, what are you doing, taking me seriously?

Burns, that's what I was asking. In fact, the last one is at the bottom of the pile. I asked because I am always surprised by drastic and definitive judgments, which I rarely manage to form. To me, Houellebecq's book that seemed better was perhaps the less "pretentious" one, *Estensione del dominio...*, and I somewhat agree with Randolph about *Le particelle*. But Piattaforma also has some beautiful pages. It’s his idea of literature that seems "comfortable" to me, not at all risky. @ Regular: okay for the pole position. I would reverse, as far as I know, the second place; Pala has found a more personal voice, he has taken a few more risks, but it’s true that he also seems to have somewhat exhausted his "vein." But the blasphemy doesn’t seem so much like Lester (I think that’s a "license" of yours, right?) as it does Buk. However, I did know you would mention him, and I understand. But I really can’t consider him on that level. Anyway, I’m off; I need to finish reading the latest one by Tamaro. :) Bye bye.

And then: how beautiful is "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men"? Come on, Regular, because the gray discovers that we're even more charismatic, like this...

Regular, how come we almost agree? But give me the ranking among the three, even though I agree that they don’t really fit: Ellis, Pala, and Don. Come on, let’s play. And while we’re at it, throw in the little French guy too.

And there's also a lot to say about Houellebecq.... Which book do you prefer?

Blessed are you, peering in to remind us of the usual spiel about charisma. But what’s eating you? And what the hell does Ellis have to do with charisma? Just a bit of chit-chat and here come some thoughts that I suppose are meant to be sarcastic. Who knows... - @ burns: what do De Lillo and Palahniuk have to do with it? And that other blessed soul, Brizzi, who probably wasn’t even around back in the Less than Zero days... To me, this Ellis has never seemed like a phenomenon, clever for sure. But do you know his work well enough to pass such definitive judgments? I, apart from Less than Zero, which I read back in the day (and didn't find that thrilling, though it was interesting in some aspects), have only read Psycho, which is a good book, in my opinion. Now the latter is buried under a pile of others, and I don’t even know if I’ll read it...

How do you mean? What the hell are you doing, besides Ellis, intravenously? Look in the gray box on the right: "Hey you! Yes, you! If you want, you can add a sample. Don't know how to make a sample? We'll teach you in HELP!" - If I managed to do it.... Didn't you notice the option? It's simple, you download the little program, make some 30-second clips, and we can listen to a bit of the record you're talking about. Isn't that wonderful? See you around.

I hope you're talking about Atomizer, or are you also into Songs about fucking? The latest by Ellis features that cocaine addict, my dentist, who even gifted it to me after insisting I read it. You do intravenous, right? Are you feeling it? You’re always so disheveled, dear Joan. But you really don’t want to throw away these samples?

Well, keep insisting on your enlightening work, because if it weren't for you, we would never have discovered that "without melody, it's not music." So we've learned another truth, following the one about the "feces of the '900." I'm not explaining anything to you; you're the one who has intervened as a teacher illuminating us poor souls willing to curiously listen to the things you described as crap. No one said you need to know it to talk about it; I merely hypothesized a "funny" idea of avant-garde music. But I could be wrong; it happens to me. You're the one who perseveres and allows yourself to make irony about supposed astonishments of others, which are, by the way, late to the party. Also because many posts ago, I mentioned the drain from my sink, which I believe is far more musical than your toilet. Or maybe not. Perhaps your wc is melodic, hence musical. Trust me, blessed are you. Reread the way you intervened and tell me if it doesn’t sound like someone who knows where the truth lies and pities others. And isn’t someone like that blessed? Of course they are. And from such a person, I accept any new absolute truth. Thank you.
