In the post above, replace, of course, objectivity with subjectivity. - @El Guevo: no one said it's the only one, but I reiterate that for me it is unique (and also for most of the critics, but that's another story). As far as the ending is concerned, it is, as it seems evident to me and having written it IN CAPITAL LETTERS, a statement of a fact. I had both the vinyl and the CD, both original. But the fact that it has been out of print for a long time and that it costs, I believe, $47 on Amazon makes it almost obligatory to close. Unlike others, I believe that music is more important than its fetishes, even if, of course, when it is possible and reasonable, I prefer the original product. On the other hand, that "once again they have no excuses" was also quite clear, it seems to me. It referred to that music industry which, on one hand, condemns a sea of records to oblivion and then lashes out against downloading. But I think all the DeLettori understood this. Or almost.

@ To all the others who have passed through here and have been generous in their judgment, but do not know the album: it is an atypical work, unique, even in the discography of a musician that is rich in contradictions, mood swings, and very different records. It’s not an easy album, and the rating, in this case, does not even have the slightest pretension (if it ever had one, in other cases, for me) of subjectivity. It’s a recognition of its uniqueness and what it has represented for me. I believe it may even come across as “annoying,” and when I speak of “imperfection,” I am referring to Cale's approach to the "song" material in this case. If you’re not familiar with him, I would like to recommend listening to Paris 1919, which conveys the idea of what little gems he was capable of producing by applying a “classical” sensitivity to the song form. The discontinuity of approaches and inspirations is also evidenced by the fact that after this he released a pop-rock album (Caribbean Sunset) that was mistreated by critics and is not particularly memorable. But I quite like that one too, despite some rather ugly tracks.

Here we are again. @Burns: I don't think it's a joke. The title is bare and absolute, much like the overall attitude of the album... - @zzzzzzzzzzzz: it's not an album for late spring, nor for "housework" :) - @NicholasRodneyDrake: I admit I still have to listen to the latest one, I was intrigued by your review, even though I was a bit disappointed by the previous ones. But sooner or later I'll get it... - @Massimof: thanks, I see you also appreciate this somewhat challenging album... -

I copy and paste Gabbox and, not knowing it, I add the usual refrain: any samples, please? - Samples Campaign 2006 -

Beautiful, concise, and stylishly substantial is the page. I appreciated it, even though I have no curiosity for "black metal viking." I don’t think I'll listen to these gentlemen, despite some stimulating yet, at first glance, somewhat daring comparisons (Grieg and Sibelius...) - Welcome to Debaser, to you and your eloquence that can intrigue even someone who, when he hears "viking," only thinks of Moondog...

@ Qzerty: I didn't know who Alvin Lucier was, but I found an interesting page on Digicult. I will look deeper into it, thanks! - @ Ajeje: unfortunately I throw the samples in order, but then they get scattered: keep in mind that 7 and 10 should be listened to one after the other: I really love the attack of the voice in the second fragment, in its simplicity it's a ...gem.

@ The Punisher: Of course, with all the bribes I've dropped for DeMoggi! Luckily we only use DePizzini, which we destroy right away (not like those idiots):) - @ Nick: I see you didn't like it much... - @ Ajeje: well, since I managed to throw them in right away, listen to the samples. Better not to trust my tastes...- Bai bai.
