Smashed it, grab it, come on. A while ago I saw it nice price, I think... - Jim, are you really becoming too flamboyant (Elio dixit)? So the wedding is just a cover?

In my house, it took a little time for this album to be loved. Then it also captivated those who didn't appreciate it at first listen. Beautiful throughout, but especially great are the opening (nice guy, the Disciple) and the closing.

Well, Hal, if there’s one positive thing about this new homepage layout, it’s that the reviews seem to rotate with less frenzy. So you can read them a bit later, appreciating both the nice text that presents them and the tips among the comments on the album :) I’ll get it, I think I’ll like it. Thanks and bye bye.

Well, among the references (especially Magnetic F.) and the title, it seems that it will find space in the summer listening. Welcome to DeB. A few samples, please? - Campagna samples 2006 -

@ El Guevo: I completely understand your point of view, and as I mentioned before, I also try to have the originals. Even though I'm not a collector. In fact, over the years, I've dispersed hundreds of records as gifts and (reckless) loans. If you want to have this CD today (I've tried to look for it), you have to shell out a lot of money, and so, since the music is what matters, I think it's better to use the means now available, even if they're considered (in cases like this paradoxically) illegal. I didn't know about the petition for On The Beach. Very interesting. However, I think that, given the global popularity of the author and the album, it was possible in that case, whereas it seems more unlikely in a case like this... To be honest, some time ago, I was thinking of a review for another album that would end with a petition to send to the record label. Maybe I'll end up writing it. Good idea. - @ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz: I see that the link to the lyrics is working today. It wasn't yesterday. Some kind editor must have taken care of it :)- @ Socrates: it's true, I had also seen it among the punched ones! Today there’s a tribute review to Grant McLennan on the homepage. I'll read it carefully. Glancing quickly at the text (it seems great), I discovered that the lead singer of The Triffids (you'll surely remember them) has also passed away. I had no idea... - @ Sylvian: I'm not doing it on purpose :) When I write, I check the availability of the record on the market, and since I alternate new things with old, I find that the latter are often no longer available... - Have a good day to you gentlemen (and ladies).

El Guevo, please, if you can manage to write something without passing judgment on people, in terms of supposed intelligence or sensitivity, or anything else you might want to assume or deduce, or read between the lines, we can also compare ideas and opinions. Otherwise, perhaps it's best to avoid it. Also, I'm sure you have many interesting things to say both about the album and about Cale's varied, multifaceted discography. I gladly accept the note regarding bad taste and remain silent, having said the little or much I had to say, veeeery subjectively, about this album. Bye bye.

@ Stoopid (can I call you that?) Nice but excessive is the comparison to Baggio. There it is, an example of how, if you love something, in this case football (here music), the often biased, if not ridiculous, stubbornness of fans (the singular wordplay is also nice) is utterly incomprehensible. It was pure pleasure on certain days, and it was true football until the end. How could you not enjoy it, even if they wore the opponents' jersey? - @ all the other DePassanti: thank you, it’s pointless to deny that I particularly appreciate the recognition from some of those who have written the pages I like most among the 8,000 of DeB! (Kosmo you’re becoming less present, when will we read something from you? A zzzzzzzzzzzz: I already asked this, here Mr. Collyer asks it too :) ) Bai bai

I would like to intervene exclusively because I have been mentioned by Satanic Whore: that overwhelmed, and it seems evident if you read the entire post, refers to THE EFFECT THAT BEAUTY OFTEN PRODUCES. I read this page with great pleasure, precisely because IT IS BEAUTIFUL. There are qualities of content and care in the words (without any trace of arrogance) and it is A PLEASURE TO READ. I find certain pages, even much shorter ones, much more tiring to read, often enough. Including my own. I saw that then SatanicW. had the good idea to read it all and I believe that, perhaps, that "overwhelmed" is now less misunderstood. - I’ll conclude with further praise for the composure, seemingly simple to maintain, of Grass's responses. Goodbye.

I am literally overwhelmed by this page. Not only because of the sheer amount of information, concepts, and descriptions that traverse it (which are invaluable for filling my profound gaps), but also, and perhaps above all, because of an element that seems to be little considered or sometimes underestimated in the comments: the stunning quality of the writing. So communicative and fluid, without sacrificing a recognizable and elegant style. A standing ovation in the office during lunch break.
