Has it really been 17 years since this album was released? Tell me it’s not true, tell me we’ve bounced around skipping a few decades... I had to check, because I wouldn’t have known where to place it in time. But yes, these sounds are definitely the trademark of the early 2000s, and during those years, Delay produced a lot of his best work, even under the name Luomo. I found him back in form since he settled at Raster-Noton and delivered some really beautiful pieces (Vantaa, maybe the best, Kuopio, and others I don’t remember). For someone who never seems to sit still, with 3/4 monikers and many collaborations, it seems like it’s been a while since he last released something; I think it’s been at least 4/5 years... - There’s a book, I don’t know the damn title or author, that was sold with a die attached, somehow your page reminded me of it... I'll tell you later.

Isis, I understood but I didn't really like it. Maybe it's because I was actually in tune, maybe it's because I read and still read many things, even contradictory ones, in this song, maybe it's because I woke up with my head spinning, but your thought is too trivial for me when associated with a piece like this. I hope I’ve made myself clear; I don't think you'll take it the wrong way. - P.S. For the nostalgic contribution: I attended kindergarten for half a morning; it was run by nuns, but I ran away, and when they called my mother, I told her never to take me back inside, and she never did.

I had completely forgotten about this album. It's actually a great album, one of the best from Luaka Bop. Which is still alive, I discover now. I also find out that they had released a record by Floating Points, which doesn’t really fit with the rest of the catalog. But that album in particular, ‘Reflections - Mojave Desert’, found a reason for such an unusual placement in its "nomadic" nature. And all thanks to Luludia. Happy New Year.

In truth, this page seemed a bit lacking to me. Because if we want to delve into some analysis, this talent show, like others, offers the possibility (perhaps even necessitates) opening up interesting analyses on multiple fronts. However, by avoiding consideration and in-depth exploration of these fronts, any analytical attempt ends up being sterile, meager, already stated, akin to bar chatter. I have nothing against bar chatter, make that clear, but it doesn’t seem to me to warrant occupying further space once its function in the bar has been exhausted. Yet I wouldn’t want to be misunderstood: marcomaisetti writes well, loves quotes, expresses certain shareable thoughts succinctly, touches on matters worthy of interest but presumably fears coming across as verbose and excessively "interested" in the subject at hand, thus choosing a superficial and "light" treatment. Instead, I believe that if one decides to analyze a phenomenon like this, it should be done thoroughly, dissecting the entire structure, the mechanisms, the implications, and the relationships with the market, communication, language and its codification, and the ramifications of each of these elements. Am I talking about a treatise? Perhaps, and I feared, while writing the comment, that the horrific seed of temptation was maturing within me. Then I thought that I have never seen an entire episode and that, all things considered, I don’t really care about X Factor. However, I am curious, for example, about the effects it produces: why does the pretty and sharp administrative assistant here in the office not miss a damn episode? Why does she express judgments on "musical performances," going into detail with quasi-professional tones, having clearly no musical education and evidently no passion or simple habit for listening to music, of any kind? Why do snippets of songs that have passed through every radio in the world, which she hadn’t even noticed hearing, become so engaging for her on X Factor? And this is just one part of the matter, the closest one (her desk is almost adjacent to mine). That’s why I killed the temptation to write about it on the threshold of consciousness: if the comment seems lengthy, the possible "review," divided into chapters, would have occupied the homepage. marcomaisetti did well, that’s the truth. ;)
