Half Mute and Desire, the first two, without a doubt. If one has to be, it should be Desire, a bit less "experimental," unless you particularly favor that side. Bye.

To Jim: it's a vote on the fly, I'll listen again and let you know gladly. I liked it but found it, at times, a bit pretentious. However, it deserves a more attentive listen. The least got away from me, I had a moment of excessive sweetness while I was reflecting on it... - Cooder is almost always a pleasant experience!

Esteemed Poletti, I fail to see the point. Ligabue, who lives and thrives in our peninsula, is not an isolated element from a context. He is the creator of musical products that are sold alongside those of other colleagues. If we want to avoid comparisons based solely on simple affiliation to the world of song (the Beatles and Liga are there, whether we like it or not), we should at least relate him to products that are homogeneous in language and market, don’t you think? Otherwise, as has been pointed out before, the perfect crap from a certified crap producer (one arbitrary example, just to take your criteria to its extremes, which is the only way to verify its outcomes) risks being worth much more than the "transitional" album of an excellent musician or singer. A risk that inevitably becomes a concrete absurdity when we adhere to the so-called "cantautori" (singer-songwriters) of Italy. If I open a "review" and find 5 stars, I don’t expect the best album from Peppino, but rather a great album, among the best in its genre, in its ā€œaffiliationā€ tier, or even in general. I believe it’s hard for anyone reading to think: this is the best this singer can do. Naturally, the lyrics can help in understanding the sense. However, yours increases the bewilderment: for the same things you say, a three feels more appropriate. I believe that with all the goodwill in the world, I will never be able to grasp the mysterious ways by which you arrive at certain statements and certain ratings. You will remain a mystery, and there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, enigmas are fun. Bye.

It's another country folk oriented. I listened to one of her excellent albums a few days ago. I read that she hit it big years ago with the soundtrack of "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" by the Coens. I don't usually indulge in the "genre" myself, but lately I've come across several quite interesting albums on that front. It looks like I might end up becoming a rural "Derecensore"...

No, Jim, you’re a softie. A few evenings ago I was listening to "First Touch" (4-) and I thought of you, sweetheart... Now I also have to deal with Clapton. But slowly, quietly, like we like it. Okay?

Why? Liga is an institution; who hasn’t heard of it? Maybe I haven’t broadened my musical horizons enough, but I gifted this album to my brother when it came out, so I know it pretty well. And I have no biases: I've even read that one about Di Michele, another 5! Of course, we have quite a panorama in Italy if these are the best albums. Luckily, I like mediocre albums; for example, I think those that the good Poletti/Viva Lì gives his 3s to are quite nice. :)))

@ Festwca: I'm in More Info, where there's a nice mess ready. If I have time, I’ll throw in a few myself, one of these days. - @ Pippo: I had already noted it down, but it's in a very long list where too many precede it: what do you say, should I make it jump to pole position? P.S. come on, you can't have the copyright on "see you later"? Then my C U (on another planet) was ahead of you and it was even more polyglot. Take that.
